“Great relaxing stay in Bournemouth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

I have just had the pleasure of visiting Bournemouth Dorset and staying at the Lynn-Glary Hotel. The accommodation was excellent , very clean with all the facilities one would expect from a high grade hotel and the service was second to none . I cannot think of a Hotel I would rather stay at . The breakfast was fresh and made like you would expect it at home . A very friendly and well managed and cost effective option that I highly recommend.

Room Tip: We had a family room so saved on costs for both the room and breakfast.

Booked this and stayed with a friend and our children in a family room ..the price was very reasonable as we went the weekend of the Air show... the owners are very friendly and accommodating...we had a lovely cooked breakfast in the mornings and the room was very clean and very nice and one of the main reasons for booking is that it is only 10 minutes walk from the beach..would definitely re-book for next year !

Room Tip: Good size room for a family room

We booked our parents in this little BB as it was near to us. The rooms were clean the home cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and Tom made my parents feel like it was home from home. We highly recommend this little BB its family friendly and very reasonably priced.

Stayed as stag party of 12 in Feb.
Possitive - very clean rooms, good price, very accommodating (we kept changing the ammount of people to stay), didn't complain about noise etc, comfortable beds, made paying easy, owners friendly and knew the local area well.

Negative - the beach is further away than they seem to think, pretty poor breakfast, outdated rooms, no toiletries in bathrooms (except soap) silly kettles and not close to any shops etc.

The same week of stay, I recieved an email complaining about a broken chair leg. It turned out the stag broke it. The email also stated there was a piece of chewing gum trodden into carpet (who knows?) And complaining the door was once left open at night (put a spring on it if too worried) we settled for a hundred pounds. Apparently the chair was an old family heirloom or something. I doubt it was, and if it was they shouldn't have it in a room full of people on a stag do. But the stag paid nonetheless.

Overall it was fair accommodation for the price. Fine for a stag do, party or work conference etc. I'm sure a family staying for a holiday would be dissapointed.

Thank you Bob for your review, just to put the record straight our chair was a antique we like nice furniture and each and very room have a different one. Why should we remove them just because we have a group of people in you should respect our home like you would your own!!!!. The leg that was broken off the "queen ann chair" was thrown behind the wardrobe and was soaked in beer yet nothing was mentioned to us at the time. This had to be mended and cleaned and actually it cost a lot more than the £100 that your friend the stag paid. You were sent a email telling you the damaged caused and this amount was agreed after you found out it was your mate who broke it.
Usually stags dont require anything other than soap but you could of asked for the pack of toiletries. The beach is literally a 8 minute walk away so i really don't know what direction you went. We have a large asda store at the botton of the road 3 minute walk.
The breakfast was cooked freshly for you all in the morning i do recall how appreciative you all were at the time all saying that you enjoyed the cooked breakfast maybe you were one of those that couldnt get up for it, there aren't many BB that take stag and hens and give you a cooked breakfast.
Well on reflection we hope you find yourself next time a hotel that would of put up with the noise and banging of doors and the front door being left open continuously.

We have stayed one night in Lyn-glary hotel in bournemouth in June 2012. We had booked a family room for 4 adults and a Toddler. The hotel was run by a old couple. The rooms were neat and tidy. The couples were really helpful. The breakfast is included in the price. The breakfast is Very good. The hotel is close to the beach and shop. I would really stay recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Lyn Glary this weekend for a Hen Weekend, we had 8 ladies the first night and 15 the second, Tom & Lena couldn't have been more lovely or helpful, and very accommodating, the only request was we came home quietly!

Anything we needed they were there to help with and it was like a home from home, the decor of the rooms was a little dated but that didn't affect our stay and everything was clean and tidy.

I personally didn't try the breakfast preferred to stay in bed, but the other girls said the food was perfect, bit of an early check out at 10am if you've been out till 4 like we were but we kept 1 room for an extra hour and we managed fine!!

We walked with our luggage from the train station and to asda, took about 5-10 minutes. The walk right into the town centre/square is a bit of a hike but we managed by stopping in a few bars along the way, although a taxi back was only about £7.

All in all an excellent stay, in a lovely B&B with lovely people, would definitely recommend and return! Thank you Ton & Lena
