“Lovely house and host”
Reviewed August 23, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Host; friendly, helpful and easy-going
House; Modern, comfy, cosy, well looked after & clean.
Great mattresses!
Cracking kitchen - modern, huge + well kitted out.
Washing machine +iron are good too.
Plenty hanging space for clothes.
Lighting is dark and about 1/4 bulbs were dead. No loo-paper, shower gels supplied for 7 night stay:(.
No toys, but if the weather is good you'll be going on outings anyway until bed-time!
Garden: Interesting enough for kids, but could do with table which would be better than having to sit on the ledge.
Location: 12 minute drive from beaches in a quite private cul-de-sac with friendly neighbours.

Hi Terence, glad you enjoyed your stay and thankyou for your positive review. I would like to address your comments. I supply one roll of toilet paper for convenience as this house is advertised as a self catering house. People provide there own entertainment/ toys for there children, but I do state that I provide DVDs in the inventory.I would like to take this opportunity to thankyou for leaving the house so clean and hopefully look forward to your return.

“Great stay”
Reviewed November 29, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Myself and 5 friend stayed here, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lounge is of good size and has a great DVD selection and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is very spacious and was great for socialising. It was the best part of the house. The downstairs of the house was very modern, the upstairs not so much (apart from the bathroom which was good). A couple of the bedrooms are a little on the small side, but fine for a short stay.

Just a couple of points:
- The front door lock seemed incredibly stiff, not sure if this was due to the cold weather?
- The house was also very cold when we arrived late evening in November. We would have greatly appreciated the heating being turned on prior to our arrival.
- None of the guests, including myself, could figure out how to turn down the shower temperature. It was extremely hot. It looked like part of the handle that turned it down had fallen off prior to our arrival?
- Also only provided half a toilet roll for our entire stay, so we had to purchase more. Would have appreciated some toilet roll considering we were paying £150 a night.

All in all, the house was lovely, and we would recommend people to stay here.

Sorry to here the shower was to hot. This has now been sorted. The front door handle is stiff and is hard to double lock the door, I am looking to put an easier handle to use. I advertise the house as self catering and as you pointed out you paid £150 per night and that works out at £25 each per night cheap to any standard.

“Comfortable House”

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It is a good and comfortable base to explore the surrounding area, being within a short drive (about 15 mins) of both Bournemouth and Poole coast. The area is very built up, but the house itself is situated within a quiet cul de sac. It backs onto primary school grounds, but apart from the happy sound of children playing outside at break times, the property is nice and quiet. The kitchen is very spacious with good quality cooking equipment and appliances (need a corkscrew though!). The lounge was very comfortable, with good quality seating, TV, dvd and wifi available, although could do with some better lighting/lamps as impossible to read a book in the evening with the current lighting. The conservatory provides a light pleasant place to dine. The garden is small and decked, although as there is no patio table/chairs provided, we didn't really use the outside space, which we would have done otherwise. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, two are relatively small but adequate, the main bedroom has extensive wardrobe space and all have extremely comfortable beds, nice fresh decor and clean good quality linen. There is no hairdryer, so you'll need to take your own. The bathroom is of a good size, nice fresh towels, plenty of mirror and storage, with a large shower which although showing signs of wear is very effective with plenty of hot water available. There is no bath. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay here, the weather was kind to us which is always a bonus. Our booking experience was poor, once we had paid, we just got the owners telephone number and email address, no others details. I telephoned the owner to get further details, who seemed very surprised that I was calling her for these, as apparently these should have been given to us after booking. I was later emailed the property address. We therefore had no other details given, ie directions etc., which you would normally expect. The owner has apparently now addressed this problem with trip advisor.

“Lovely, clean, well located house”

Sandra is lovely, very friendly and helpful. The house itself is set in a quiet location, although it is in a bit of a rabbit warren of roads to find, but it is ideally situated for exploring. Bournemouth pier/beach is about 15 min drive and easily accessible on a daily basis should you wish. Lots of Poole's main attraction are about a 15 - 20 min drive and the New forest is about 20 - 25 mins drive. A really good location for getting out and about. The house itself is lovely, airy and spacious, everything is clean - lots of cupboards for storage and masses of wardrobe space. Bathroom and bedrooms are decent sizes as are the front room and conservatory. The kitchen is massive. Garden is a little small and cramped but usuable. We had a disposable bar b que with extended family whilst there. My only small wish would be for a tumble drier as we struggled to get clothes dry due to poor weather, and this would have made life a lot easier but I understand the cost of running it would be an extra expense. We ended up hanging clothes all over the house in an attempt to dry them (we have 3 boys 6,8 and 10 - so we do have a lot of clothes washing). Overall though extremely pleased with everything and we had a great holiday with lots to do in the area. Sprinkles is a must as a treat if you like ice cream and waffles ;)
