Description: Harry Ramsden's serve the same great quality fish and chips today that they have been since 1928. The brand was established 80 years ago, when Harry Ramsden opened his first takeaway store in a hut in Guiseley. His top-quality fish and chips brought people from near and far and it wasn't long before Harry's became the most famous fish and chip shop brand in the world. The fish is freshly prepared in Harry's kitchens daily and has that distinctive flavour revered the world over. The menu includes the world-famous battered fish with its closely guarded secret recipe, as well as an extensive choice of mouth-watering options and a fantastic children's menu, to satisfy all the family. There are 8 Harry's restaurants across the United Kingdom, from seaside locations such as Blackpool and Bournemouth to city centre restaurants in Southampton and Glasgow, so you're never far from a Harry's.

Been here 3 times in 5 years. Always been disappointed by the low quality of food and lack of service. I tend to visit out of high season so it's never horrendously busy, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Much better options along the front, maybe a little walk but worth it! Or walk into town centre in five minutes for a good choice. Alternatively, drive out to Westbourne.

Came Autumn 2014 & enjoyed our experience, was looking forward to coming back, but sadly all i could see was that customers were such a nuisance, it was obvious for all to see & sense !! The impatient with people was apparent & i felt as if a few of the staff but especially the amn on the door showing people to their tables was extremely tired looking & fed up with his job & the people that it involves - sorry sir if you do read this but it is coming across that you are in the wrong job (to put it politely) many people questioning why they had to wait 40-45 minutes & many seemed to be un-happy when asked is everything ok with the food, i saw a lady go to help herself to an olive on the bar, which were in jars with serving ladles & small bowls which looked like a kind gesture as people had to wait so long, well to my horror this poor woman was literally shouted at by this one man in particular who seemed to be doing nothing but show people to their seats, he shouted "oi, what do you think your doing !!" i think the poor woman was starving, like we all were, but she hurried off, surely in such circumstances people should be offered bread or nibbles such as olives on the bar !!!!!???
When our food arrived the macaroni cheese had completely changed from last year, as it had been delicious last year but this year was obviously smart price or out of a tin !!!
Oh & also ......What a mess toilets dirty & the whole place seemed grubby AND its only APRIL !!!!

Dear Teresa

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Harry Ramsden’s Bournemouth. Firstly I would like to apologise, as it’s disappointing to read your comments regarding the food, service and overall cleanliness – we will certainly look into this feedback in particular as we approach the busy summer season. We take all of our customer feedback very seriously and will be looking in to all of your comments, in particular with the long waiting times, and the experience of the woman you describe… I would assume the comment was intended to be jovial – but taking into account the overall situation it certainly would not have come across that way! I do hope that you return to enjoy a better experience with us in the future.

Kind Regards
Craig Harris
