Description: Harry Ramsden's serve the same great quality fish and chips today that they have been since 1928. The brand was established 80 years ago, when Harry Ramsden opened his first takeaway store in a hut in Guiseley. His top-quality fish and chips brought people from near and far and it wasn't long before Harry's became the most famous fish and chip shop brand in the world. The fish is freshly prepared in Harry's kitchens daily and has that distinctive flavour revered the world over. The menu includes the world-famous battered fish with its closely guarded secret recipe, as well as an extensive choice of mouth-watering options and a fantastic children's menu, to satisfy all the family. There are 8 Harry's restaurants across the United Kingdom, from seaside locations such as Blackpool and Bournemouth to city centre restaurants in Southampton and Glasgow, so you're never far from a Harry's.

I have been here before but that was many years ago! I remembered the good food and went back last week because of it. You can tell by the long queue around lunch time that they know their stuff :) You have a large variety to choose from even if you don't like fish, they also have chicken etc. Very nice fish I find, not so fat as usual. I love this place!

We put the meal option to 25 Air cadets from their summer camp at MOD Boscombe Down and the vote was for Harry's. As we had not booked and it was a glorious Friday lunchtime, the staff thought we should have booked. the restaurant staff were more than helpful and quickly found 25 seats on the terrace with comfy chairs for the6 staff in a booth. Our waiter Mario ensured a fast and efficient service, and considering the numbers in our party no-one was left waiting. A varied selection of meals were ordered , and all cadets and staff expressed their satisfaction with both the quantity and quality of their meals.once again well done to Mario, and all the staff. Thank you all for being so helpfull.

From stepping in to the restaurant, we were greeted and shown to our table by a very polite and pleasant waitress. The food and wine was of a superb quality, and the ambience was of a similar quality. All in all I feel that this was an outstanding performance from the staff, in a particular our personal waitress Cynthia. I intend to visit again in the not too distant future. Once more well done to all involved.

Not the best fish and chips and not the worst. £8.00 for fish, chips and mushy peas was rather expensive considering the portions were not very big. Customers were queing outside as the service was quite slow maybe because it was 12pm and a busy lunch time period. I would not rush back to Harry Ramsdens.

The situation of the restaurant is lovely...overlooking Bournemouth beach. The service was pleasant but incredibly slow. As pensioners we had the senior's deal...a small piece of fish, which was OK and lots of horrible, inedible chips (a few peas would have been nice). The bread and butter pudding was lovely when it finally arrived, as was the coffee. (Like Tesco it would appear that Harry Ramsden favours employing foreigners.)
