“One of those secrets you'd love to keep”

I first visited Urban Beach 7 years ago and have returned several time since. The experience is always comfortable, friendly, professional and yet personal. Mark and his team all demonstrate tat great customer care separates the good from the brilliant. Breakfast is superb but it's the cocktails that I'll be going back for. Well, those and the boutiquey, classy rooms.

We had our wedding reception in the sister restaurant urban reef at Boscombe beach followed by a night in the urban beach hotel. The food and drink was fantastic and the service from staff, manager and the owner was 1st rate.
The rooms were really clean and tidy and finished in a tasteful style. If you visit this hotel, you'll be pleasantly surprised with all the subtle but important 'touches' that the staff and hotel has to offer!
We now regularly go for dinner at both the urban beach hotel and urban reef restaurant with our family including 2 young children (very family friendly). Prices of food and drink are very good with excellent presentation. The cost of the room is reflected in the high standard.
For anyone who knows Boscombe it has changed alot in the past 10 years (for the better) and now is the most culturally diverse area in Bournemouth. Urban beach is in the middle of this between the centre and the beach front. Bournemouth beach or town is just a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel too.
We would highly recommend this hotel & restaurant to anyone.

Stayed here overnight on a business trip. Friendly staff, very nice room, very good breakfast (albeit not the "best in the world" as the sign outside claims),

Will admit that the first impression was not great - it's not located in the nicest-looking street, and when I was there, the terrace was undergoing construction. Once inside, however, this was immediately dispelled - the bar/dining are is quite cosy.

If I ever need to be in Bournemouth again, I'll certainly book here.

We stayed for one night at The Urban Beach and really pleased with everything. Warm welcome from the staff on arrival to the buzzing bar/restaurant. Our room was lovely with a really nice and clean bathroom. We had dinner there also which was lovely too. The restaurant is quirky with a rustic feel. Definitely recommend this place and definitely would go again!

Stayed here for a weekend to see Mickey Flanagan (also excellent) and was delighted with the hotel.

The bar is really good, great atmosphere and lively, serving excellent brasserie / gastro pub type food. Breakfasts are generous and great quality. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

There is a nice outside area, which was being refurbished while we were there and should be great by the summer.

Rooms are contemporary. Ours (11) was nice, not a massive room, but had everything you needed (flat screen tv with DVD player and a nice selection of DVDs for guests).

Probably the only concern might be parking as I can imagine in summer it might be an issue as surrounding pads are yellow and double yellow lines, but not a major issue.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at the Urban Beach on a number of occasions and each time it has been fantastic. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful and make you feel like you are coming home at the end of each day. Each of the 5 different rooms I have stayed in have been spotlessly clean, very comfortable and there is a lot of attention to detail to make your stay as pleasurable as possible ( wellies to walk in the beach, candles in the room, bottles of water for the night by your bed) The food is superb with the highlight having to be the amazing breakfasts. I have stayed there when working in Bournemouth but I am looking forward to returning with my family for a holiday. Thank you to all the staff at Urban Beach for a wonderful stay each time.

I was looking for a lovely boutique hotel around the Bournemouth area for a Valentine's weekend getaway and found The Urban Beach Hotel online. Wonderful room, friendly and attentive staff and the bonus of the best full english breakfast I've had in years! We liked Boscombe too – 1930's pier and sandy beaches are just a walk away and then back to the hotel for some inventive and delicious cocktails! We had a superb time.

Room Tip: I draw the line at giving hints as to the best room simply because we had it and I want it to be ava...
