“A home from home”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

An excellent B&B. The landlady is obliging yet unobtrusive and our room was large and very clean, as was the bathroom. Bed was large and comfortable, with top-quality linen. Very quiet at night, so you sleep well. You choose what you want for breakfast and at what time and it is delivered to your room right on time. There is a small fridge with milk and water and fresh fruit, which is replenished every day free of charge. There are tea and coffee facilities and a good choice of coffee and tea sachets, as well as a cafetiere and fresh coffee grounds. Also TV and DVD and lots of tourist info leaflets and books. Free off-road parking is excellent too. 5 mins walk to coast and 15 to town centre and West Pier. Easy access to rest of beautiful Dorset. Home from home, unpretentious accommodation at reasonable price

Room Tip: Downstairs rooms have a small, private conservatory attached.

Very much enjoyed our stay. We had the room with its own conservatory. Lovely comfortable bed, fridge with bottled water and fresh milk as well as filter coffee and biscuits each day. Great breakfast served in the room each day. Jackie was ever so helpful and accommodating. And most of all a really peaceful night`s sleep and yet you are only 10 mins walk from the beach and the city itself. So glad we stayed here and not one of the bigger noiser hotels.

Excellent accommodation. We stayed in room 2 - fruit bowl replenished daily, fresh milk bottled water in fridge. Large very comfy king size bed - couldn't fault accommodation - would have liked to have been nearer the sea, but excellent bus service available. Very good local restaurants nearby. An excellent B&B in a great location. Friendly welcome from Jackie and her two cats. A large well-equipped room with the bonus of your own conservatory! Delicious breakfast and the sea only a few minutes walk away. Absolutely perfect, looking forward to staying here again soon.

just spent our first weekend in bournemouth and stayed at coach house cottage. its a great little place tucked away about 50 metres from the road so nice and quiet, and just what we wanted.jackie was very helpful and had a good knowledge of local area and had a good chat on both mornings after our breakfast which was served in our room and probably the best i have had anywhere. room was excellent with huge bed, table chairs and 2 reclining leather chairs with foot rests, just what we needed after walking round the town all day. tv with dvd, mini fridge, tea coffee and biscuits and a bowl of fresh fruit. cant wait to book our next weekend and look forward to staying with jackie again

Thank you for staying here at Coach House Cottage and taking the time to write a lovely review. It is of course such a lovely walk by the sea and you are apt to forget there are 7 miles of sandy beach!
Hope to see you again when you have time to come to Bournemouth.

We stayed here for two nights here in May and felt very fortunate to have such a large upstairs room with a mammoth bathroom with bath and separate shower. The owner, Jackie , was very kind and told us where to go for an excellent Thai tapas meal a short walk away so we were well fed and ready to fall into a very comfortable bed where we slept like logs. Breakfast, ordered the night before, was brought to our room. It was beautifully cooked. Fresh fruit was provided and replenished in the room. The station was a short walk away and we enjoyed a ferry trip to the Isle of Wight and an antiques trawl in a rather unglamorous part of Bournemouth. All in all a very pleasant two days in Dorset

The antique area I think you are talking about has seen better days! Luckily there are other parts of Bournemouth and surrounding areas which are lovely!

What a fantastic place. Quiet, but still within walking distance of the beach and town. The room had nice little touches that made the stay 5-star, like the little fridge in the room with fresh milk for teas and coffees. The area was nice and quiet, so sleep was not disturbed. Would thoroughly recommend this for a weekend away in Bournemouth, will hopefully be going back soon.
