“Glammed-up premier inn”

We stayed for 2 nights here and had the worst nights sleep the 1st night as the air-con machine was making a howling noise all night even after we tried to turn it off. We let reception know in the morning and the receptionist gladly moved us to a much bigger room on another floor which we were much happier with and had a great nights sleep although house-keeping was knocking on our door before 9am in the morning for some reason even though we were checking out that day?

The car park floods if its raining a lot, my husband had to tread in a huge puddle to get in the car and his shoes and socks were absolutely soaked for the 2hr drive home.

Other than that the rooms are average, nice cosy bar and Starbucks very convenient on the ground floor.

A group of 80 keep fit ladies from all over the southern counties including the Isle of Wight arrived here on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday afternoon. The welcome was warm and efficient, the rooms very clean, airy, large and comfortable. The facilities were very good and the provision of a large room for classes was brilliant. The food was a mini hog roast on fri eve, nothing mini about the food it was fabulous and the three course dinner for us all on saturday was hot, filling and well served Special mention to the inspiration room manager - he was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Even when the ladies from Cowes were late to dinner he magiced a table especially for them. the breakfast was well varied and delicious too. No complaints from us uber fit ladeis, we will be returning again. What a fantastic weekend and a wonderful hotel to enjoy it at.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, some look over the carpark others over a roof, so not scenic but service...

A friend and I booked a spa day at short notice. We made to feel very welcome on arrival and both throughly enjoyed facials/back massages. The leisure facilities consited of pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi etc. All very clean. Lunch was included and was really good and big portions. We left feeling very rrelaxed and pampered and will definately be returning, excellant value for money

This is our second visit this year and will not be making it a third in the future. We booked for three nights in a family room but the childs bed is nothing more than a sofa bed, which was very uncomfortabe. These rooms could easily take a single bed which would be a lot better..!
Breakfast was ok but what was on offer could be better.. The swimming pool was more than adequate, especially the steam room at the side. We enjoyed our stay in the area but will be looking for another hotel in the future.

This hotel is a premier / holiday inn and nothing more. The rooms are basic but clean (bar the cigarette burns in the net curtains).

The staff are polite and helpful but don't have a lot to work with.

The 'spa' is a gym pool that happens to be based at the hotel, it's too busy and the pool area fits the 'premiere inn' feel.

The bar is ok but the 'restaurant' is not. The food we had was awful, cold when it was served and the steak was completely unedible. We complained and they just cooked them some more, not an acceptable solution. To be fair they gave us a discount but that's not really the point.

If your away on business it'll do, don't try and have a pleasant weekend away at this hotel.

Very poor service, the hotel is similar to a travel lodge. we arrived on Thursday for mid term break and we were allocated a family room with a sofa bed that is so bad it hurt my children to sleep on it due to the steel bed protruding from every angle. We had breakfast in the morning which was functional but not great. We had to bring our own porridge because they had no porridge

At about 2pm, I wanted to use the toilet only to find out that there was no toilet paper I called the reception to request for toilet paper after waiting for 30 min with no one in sight I had to go somewhere else to use the toilet.

The first serious problem occurred the next day when we came back to find the room totally unclean with the bed unmade and cups not washed. My wife had to clean the cups and tidy the bed. I complained to the reception and they promised to report it to the manager, we never had a word from the manager. Second day we went out and came back to find the bed unmade and duvet pulled to make it look like its been cleaned. When I pulled my bed to sit on it I found it rough and unmade and I pulled the duvet cover of my children's bed to check if that was made it was exactly the same way it was when we left.

I went to the reception to speak to the manager only to be told that the manger is too busy to see us.

Good service and friendly atmosphere but the pub food menu is limited. It tends to lean towards bulk rather than tasty food. My friends had burger and chips served very attractively on long flat wooden boards but too much bun and not enough flavour.

I had the 'Salt baked potato' and asked what it meant. Apparently salt is sprinkled over the potato before it's put in the oven! In fact the potato doesn't get anywhere near an oven unless they consider a microwave oven to be the way baked potatoes are cooked. So, horrible, slightly warm potato but a good filling.

I wouldn't eat there again. Some pubs have to learn that potatoes achieve their crispy flavour by being baked in a real oven, not chucked in a microwave. Over £6 too!
