“Adequate for my needs, with a great location and good staff”
Reviewed May 30, 2011

I stayed here overnight for a conference at the Bournemouth International Centre and wanted a cheap place. The staff were welcoming and friendly, drinks were decently priced in the bar. The room itself was nice and big, the only criticisms were that I had to plug in the TV aerial cable myself as it was hanging loose from the TV and the bathtub I think had a leak. Location next to the seaside however was very good, along with a short walk from the town centre and BIC.

When i booked our room i did not book a ground floor room as i am disabled as the hotel has a lift how ever when booking in the manager told us there were a few steps from the lift to our room but we could change to a ground floor room at no extra cost this we did as the room was very nice with a good size bathroom with a bath and shower and a single and double beds,a tv and plenty off clothes space both hanging and drawers. The restaurant was both clean and pleasant and very spacious with ample space to sit the menu was very good both at breakfast and evening meal. As we stayed out of season their was no entertainment but maybe a little live music on saturdays might be nice as if going out and need to drive means the driver can not drink so make use off the hotel bar .I would recommend this hotel both for cost and good location for beach and town .The staff were all pleasant and helpful we had a very nice weekend and would stay there again

very dated, was told local shops and theatre 2 minutes walk away , actually 15 minutes there but more like 30 minutes back as hotel situated on a hill, good thing the weather was fine, hot water took forever to come through , mattress and pillows like lumps of lead, breakfast very disappointing, cold bacon , burnt half tomato, twicw cooked sausage ,and no mushroom,

Room Tip: take your own pillows

I was amazed by the cleanliness and the basics - good coffee/tea/clean kettle, spotless bathroom - small room but very cosy and great value. Good if you just need a place to sleep - can't imagine finding better for the price

We were delighted with the Tower House Hotel as their prices were extremely competitive and both our rooms were brilliant. The rooms were comfortable, warm and had everything we needed.
The staff at the Tower House Hotel were superb, from booking through to check out. Breakfast was well organised and delicious and nothing was too much for any of them to do.
Well run family hotel, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here at the same time as the previous reviewer, but clearly not in the same hotel since we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is well situated for the sea front and had plenty of car parking on 2 sides. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious, there was ample hot water in the shower, the staff were very friendly and most helpful at all times, and the food was tasty and very ample. In short, the hotel was far superior to the many others we have stayed in in Bournemouth and we look forward to going back.
