What a fantastic find the Hedley Hotel is... brilliant location, short walk to the beach and shops. I brought my bike on the train - there are a few hilly bits, but it was very liberating. The hotel is under new management and has been beautifully refurbished, with period features enhanced. I stayed in one of the few rooms that hasn't been totally refurbished; but it was still great, re-decorated, clean. The full English breakfast was scrumptious and filled me up nicely for the busy day ahead. Steph recommended Kayaking at Sandbanks which was fun. Friends joined me the following day and as well as having an active few days, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic on the beach and nice evening meal at a restaurant on the beach; again recommended by Steph. Another highlight was an evening cycle to Hingisbury Head with an elevated seascape view of the most glorious sunset. I haven't been to the Bournemouth area since childhood and it was so good to revisit old haunts and enjoy new experiences. The Hedley Hotel, was a perfect base. We will return!

Steph Cade is the owner of this gorgeous boutique hotel in Bournemouth centre. It is very close to the beach front, but far enough away to be very quiet and away from any night life noise. I could have stayed all the weekend in our big family room, it was so beautiful. Decor, bedding, lighting, linen all superb interior decor which makes it very special. Proper beds for grown up children (teenagers) and family room has loads of space and big bathroom. All spotlessly clean. Lovely dining room with really good cooked English breakfasts. I would say they have sourced the highest quality ingredients. Lovely freshly cut fruit salad available every day as well. Great friendly welcome, staff and great service. We have this one in our "definitely come back to" holiday file and have recommended it to coleagues, friends and family already. We also found a couple of really super restaurants off the beaten track (if you don't want Harry Ramsdens which has gone right down hill since takeover of ownership), so we highly recommend "Tien" a Thai" and "The Mint Leaf"...the best Indian we've ever had and we believe we know our curries!
Hope this review was helpful to others, enjoy your stay. Karen x

Room Tip: If you want space, the family room was great, I didn't see the other rooms so cannot comment. T...

We have just spent a lovely couple of nights at this beautiful hotel which we stumbled upon by chance. The hotel is immaculately presented throughout and our family bedroom was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. Steph, the owner looked after us extremely well and cooks a fantastic full English breakfast! There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and the lovely sandy beach is only a 5 minute walk. Situated in quiet location. Beds really comfy! Can't recommend it enough.

Booked the Hedley for a last minute frazzled mummy minibreak. A very very warm welcome awaited myself and my two children (who were warned to be on best behaviour or we go home). We stayed in triple room which was ample sized for one adult and two children, room was spotlessly clean and my girly girls and I loved the decor - very stylish! Great location, out the front door and you can see the sea, took me 10mins to walk down to seafront with two kids, buggy, scooter etc etc. Breakfast was soooooo good, in fact best i've ever had in a hotel. Steph, the owner of the Hedley was so helpful and accomodating doing mini portions of breakfast for my children and made me flask of tea to go home with which was much appreciated after a day at peppa pig world! Thank you Steph you saved me from mummy meltdown! Would love to stay here again.
