Review of Bournemouth Pier

Bournemouth Pier
Reviewed July 23, 2013

It was quite boring, the toilets are awful! The amusements where good, but thats all thats really there. Not alot for adults. Would suggest getting some rides for Big kids :-)

Whether you wanted a seat in the shade or the sun or a refreshment in the bar/restaurant at the end of the pier all was available. Always very clean.

Helterskelter was great £2 for 2 go's, a must for any BIG kids. There were a couple of others rides too. Bar and restaurant (Key West) was good, gets busy but good food.

While in Bournemouth on a hot summers day we decided to take a stroll on the pier, we were surprised to see that there was a charge of 60 pence to go on the pier. There isn't a great deal to do on the pier, we just walked to the bottom where there are about 5 rides for young children, our 3 year old daughter really enjoyed them but they are a little overpriced at £2 a go.

They have started charging people to go on the pier!?
Why when the pier is just as dirty and rusted as always?
The place is out of date and old. The staff are rude and can't be bothered to give you the time of day. Do they not make enough in the arcade and rides to cover the cost of upkeep (not that they have kept it up!)
