Review of Bournemouth Pier

Bournemouth Pier
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Nothing spectacular just a normal pier as you'd expect. At the very end there are things to do for the little ones to keep them entertained.

A very small fee to walk down the pier. My five year old loved all the rides. Beautiful views of the beach and water!

The view at the end of the pier is great as you can get to see all the boats bobbing about. When we went they had a powerboat race on along with a triathalon so good for the extra viewing.
It costs 60p to enter the pier.
They have a theatre, small childrens fun fair and restaurant/bar along the pier.

Our hotel was actually just opposite to the pier but we did not find the pier very interesting. Brighton pier is more fun!

On a beautiful sunny Saturday with time to kill, we headed to Bournemouth Pier only to discover they were charging entrance just to go on. With a party of 5, we decided not to bother. It certainly looked clean and appealing, but I've been on plenty of piers in other locations (none of whom charged) so we didn't go in.

In my opinion, they'd get lots more visitors, willing to spend money on the (now fairly standard) food, arcades and kids rides at the far end.

Disappointed.
