We spent a lot of time looking at various hotels in Bournemouth and the area to find the best one for our 4 night stay and Chalfield Manor Boutique Hotel was definitely the correct choice.
We were given a warm welcome upon our arrival and shown around the ground floor of this beautifully renovated Edwardian residence. The Library, Drawing Room/Bar and Dining Room are all well appointed and comfortable with a nice touch of elegance. We had booked Room 2 after seeing the phtos on the website and I have to say it was better in reality. The room is enormous and the furniture fit in very well - the bed is the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the toiletries in the bathroom were lovely - I always think it is a touch of class to have body lotion provided as here.
Breakfast was well cooked, served with a smile and tasty. Tea and coffee supplies were plentiful and fresh and the occasional variation such as little danish pastries being available on one morning was thoughtful.
I cannot stress enough how much of our enjoyment during our stay came from the company of Dexter and Otilia who own, run and love this building. Both were always available, easy to talk to and gave us some great tips on restaurants in the area. We will definitely be returning to Chalfield Manor and would encourage anyone looking for elegance, comfort and service to an incredibly high standard look no further. We look forward to having a game of Petanque on the terrain that was being built as we left to return home.

Room Tip: All rooms are well appointed with similar furnishing - they are all good choices!

Thanks for your kind words. For us, too, it was a pleasure. The Petanque Terrain is built & looks "fantastique". Have a game with us next year. Kevin will look fab in a black beret & stripey shirt!

Beautiful rooms in a renovated Edwardian villa. Owned by a lovely couple, welcoming and incredibly friendly.

I arrived late and was helped with my bags, shown my room. The rooms themselves are modern but in keeping with the style of the building. The renovation us to a fantastic standard and the house in itself is just beautiful.

I'd recommend a stay here and will be back next time I'm in the area.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Chalfield Manor whilst staying in Bournemouth on business; what a fabulous little hotel.
It has been lovingly restored by husband and wife Dexter and Otilia Bree who now take exceptional care of their guests. The hotel is well appointed and has superbly fitted rooms with fabulous bathrooms, etc. Nice flat screen TV on the wall and a devinely comfortable bed.
The hotel also has a small residents bar.

Breakfast was very nice, all freshly cooked from local ingredients. There is a constant flow of coffee and toast.

I would highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel. Must take my wife for a surprise weekend ;-)

Room Tip: Ask for one round the back, there was a little road noise from about 6.00am onwards.

What a fabulous stay at Chalfield Manor. We were made so welcome and at home by Dexter and Otilia, a charming couple. The rooms and whole hotel are decorated to a very high standard and we had a very comfortable stay. It was just ashame we were only there for 1 night.
The wine is exquisite and the breakfast is local produce and excellent. There was 4 of us, my Dad, Nanna and my husband and I and we will definitely be back to visit. Thank you for your hospitality and kind gifts you gave us on departure.

A brand new stylish hotel in boscombe. We found this hotel by chance - how lucky were we! Hotel, owners, staff and breakfasts all made our stay a comfortable one. Wholesome (mainly locally sourced) and tasty food was served at breakfast by cheerful owners and staff. There was a small well stocked bar available to us after a day out and hotel owners were more than happy to answer any questions we had about the area. The hotel has been decorated to a high standard and our entire stay was enjoyable. We did not sample any of the treatments available but if they are of the same standard I am sure they will be great also.

We stayed in this stunning boutique hotel for one night on Saturday 11th August, as soon as we pulled up into the car park we were greeted by the owner Dexter, and once we were inside we met his wife Otilia , who booked us in and gave us a choice of two beautiful rooms, the hotel is absolutely stunning, our room was fabulous, very comfortable bed, lovely Decor, tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, bottled water, and we had a lovely walk in wet room, which was a nice change , there were lots of complimentary shampoos etc, and huge soft bath towels. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and town centre, which is ideal, with plenty of parking spaces, the bar/lounge downstairs was very nice, and had a relaxed atmosphere,we sat and had a few drinks before we went out for the evening, Dexter and Otilia informed us of some nice restaurants and bars to go to , they called us a taxi, and made sure the driver knew where to take us, we had a lovely nights sleep , it is such a peaceful area, then in the morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast, I cannot fault this hotel,we were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment that we left, I just wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definately be returning, and i would recommend anyone wanting a weekend or a holiday in Bournemouth to stay at this hotel , you will not be disappointed.. Thank you Dexter & Otilia xx
