“Dirty and Moldy !!”

First impressions upon arriving to the property were grim. The bins out side were overflowing the shared entrance had a pile of post on the floor at the door and the shared stairs were covered in dirt. We hoped that the flat inside would be better. Our hopes were shattered!!!
Not one window was clean inside or out. The lovely garden that is pictured in the add was full of debris. Every wall in the property had some kind of dirt splashed up it. There was dust covering everything. The carpets hadn't been hoovered. The en suit had mold covering the window wall. when we looked in the kitchen we discovered what little glasses and crockery was there was dirty and sticky. one cupboard smelled like a can of tuna had been split in it and never cleaned up and the icing on the cake was a dirty dish washer full of molding plates. Needless to say we complained to the letting company Smart holiday rentals who did send out the property manager and a cleaner but this property needed a deep clean which in my opinion would have taken half a day. We were not comfortable in the property so asked to be moved. The only property that was available at short notice was 3 THE GOLDEN GATE. This was a beautiful property with a lovely sea view. We had to pay extra for the upgrade and smart holiday rentals covered the end of let cleaning costs. This property has a great location but not worth the risk of finding it in the state that we did.

“Great apartment in a great location”

Apartment was nicely set for our arrival, clean and tidy, with the heating on, as it was an early spring holiday.

It was exactly as described, with all the rooms a good size and smartly decorated.

We have 3 children all 4 and under, so the location being a short walk from the beautiful sandy beach of Dudley Chine beach is amazing. You are also no more than 15 minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre.

Early on, the holiday company called us to make sure we where happy as well.

If I was being highly critical to suggest some improvements they would be:
More cookery utensils in the kitchen
Welcome folder to know where everything is in the apartment and how to use the heating.
Complimentary soap in the toilets.

All minor points and nothing that detracted from a wonderful stay.

A guest book should be in situ along with instructions for the boiler located in the boiler cupboard.
