“A good place for a little break”

Queens Park Golf Course
Reviewed July 1, 2013

The cafe outside is a good place to stop on your morning (dog) walk, they do lots of teas, coffees, ice creams and a few sandwiches and the staff are really friendly.

If you go upstairs to the bar it is slightly outdated but staff are more than happy to accommodate your needs (food or drinks) and the bar has a good selection of alcohol.

They have a TV for sports / news and being able to sit on the balcony is a bonus in the nice weather

Families having a picnic on the 18th fairway ! Would not move so had to skip last hole. Dog came and took a $h!t next to me on the 13th green! Owner says " sorry hes got the trots" which was nice :/. But had some nice golf holes for the green fee.

This golf course is an excellent test of golf its council run but do not let that put you off the staff are very helpful and friendly the clubhouse is very relaxed and pretty basic you should play this for the course i beleive it used to be an open qualifier for the dorset area the only reason its not no more is the new main road took some of the length of the course which meant it was not long enough any more again play it you will not be dissappointed

a full 18 hole golf course but also a public park. facilities include a golf shop, ample parking a public face / bar with friendly staff, public toilets, Duck pond and soon to have a play area. there are also facilities for picnics, other ball sports, or just a gentle walk. For the golfer, the site is superbly kept by the green keepers. yes it has its bad days but don't we all? Drainage is good and after heavy rain / snow, the course is often the only one for 15 miles that is open. It is a local authority run course and pay and play is available at very reasonable rates. Be aware though - it is a park before it is a golf course and the public have full access to the course. occasionally there are disputes between golfers and dog walkers however with a little tolerance from both sides these can be avoided.

there is a cafe at ground level which is open from Easter to October .... at other times of the year, there is no disabled access to the upstairs cafe.
