My husband and I stayed at the Royal Exeter as we were going to the BIC. The two guys on the front desk couldn't have been more friendly. The room was lovely and we had drinks in the 1812 bar before and after our show. One of the best hotels in Bournemouth. Will definitely stay here again.

Really good hotel, friendly staff, good sized bedroom, breakfast excellent. Check in was fast, the receptionist friendly & efficient. We were warned of possible noise from the onsite nightclub ( didn't notice any noise).
If I could say one negative thing it was the way a bar tender spoke to my husband when he asked for draught cider as if cider was not of his class of bar..
We enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Stayed here for 1 night on a groupon voucher as going to the Bournemouth international centre. Couldn't have been a better location as it was right opposite. We went for drinks in the hotel bar 1812, which was a cocktail bar and had a lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent. The hotel was immaculate and the staff extremely polite and professional. Will definately stay there again and will be even better if another groupon voucher comes up as made this amazing value.

This is a really good hotel and excellent value for money. Located just a few minutes walk from the main beach and pier it is also just across the road from the Bournemouth International Centre. With its own secure car park and within walking distance of the town centre you would struggle to get a better location in Bournemouth. Just park up and walk everywhere since you are close to everything here.

The first thing that strikes you as you enter the hotel is the impressive lobby. Check in is very straight forward and the staff are friendly and helpful. I got the wrong room on check in but this was quickly resolved and I ended up with a very spacious and comfortable room. All the usual creature comforts are present in the rooms along with a trouser press. Everything works as it should and the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spotlessly clean.

Breakfast in the morning is a choice between continental or a full English or a mixture of both. It is all good and five stars for providing decent sized glasses for the orange juice. The food is good here and without doubt the establishment is very well run and the staff make you feel at home. There is a restaurant on site but I didn't get the chance to try it out. The bar area with its outside decking is well laid out.

For those on business wi-fi is very important and normally I wouldn't give 5 an excellent vote for a hotel where the wi-fi does not work properly. However, in mitigation there was a Care Show at the International Centre and the hotel was packed out with many users tapping into the wi-fi and it was noticeably different and faster on the third night of my stay.

I would definately stay here again. The decor, ambience and cleanliness of this impressive hotel puts it in a league of its own when you consider what they charge per night. Well worth it. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed at the Royal Exeter Hotel this weekend while we were watching a gig at the BIC, great place to stay as a stones throw away from the venue, we upgraded our room to an Executive double -Titan, the room was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed, massive bathroom with a lovely spa bath. As in previous reviews about the noise, we did not here any noise at all in this room and we were staying at the weekend and we were expecting some! We had a great experience checking in really easy and friendly service. We also sampled the cocktails in bar 1812 well worth a visit. Overall a really enjoyable weekend away and we will definitely be coming back again!

Room Tip: If you can ask for a superior double or executive double that way you can't here the music from...

Very spacious, comfortable and clean rooms - the hotel is in a great location, close to the beach and the town centre. The staff are very friendly and welcoming - we took our 18 month old daughter on a recent weekend break and they were extremely accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was lovely with a huge variety of foods on offer. For the price, this is an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again!
