We had a 'Premier' room with sea view - 'The Byron Room'. The room was reasonably large and equipped with all the essentials. It had a nice balcony with lovely views out to sea. The room was a little old fashioned, in keeping with the hotel appearance I suppose. It was very clean. The extractor in the bathroom sounded like a plane taking off but didn't really achieve much. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. The food at the wedding reception was very good - all five courses of it! The drinks at the bar a little expensive. All in all a nice place to stay if you like an English Country House feel.

The trip to Bournemouth was of a business nature and this is the third or fourth year that I have stayed at The Miramar. If your travelling or staying in Bournemouth this is the place to stay, the hotel is still privately owned and that shows in the way that the place is kept with its friendly staff and warm welcome. I look forward to returning again in May 2014.

Room Tip: Room 105 offers a great sea view and has recently been refurbished to a very high standard.

We decided to go to Bournemouth for the weekend ,We stayed one night
arriving on Saturday afternoon.Easy parking in hotel car park at rear, lovely
staff.Clean spacious double room.Restaurant food in the evening was superb
and not expensive with good service.
Beautiful gardens with views over the sea.
Breakfast catered for all.Self service cereal, croussants and fruit but
waiter takes your order for the cooked breakfast which was piping hot
and delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor with views to the front and you could see the sea.

Old World charm, lovely gardens, Food great, and staff wonderful. Chief even happily agreed to do my grandchildren cheese on toast in the middle of dinner when he had a full restaurant.
Rooms are very clean and with tea making equipment. Staff are very very polite and attentive without being over the top. This was my third stay at this hotel, 2nd with grandchildren age 9, 5 and 4 and I hope to be taking them again next year.

Room Tip: Shelly Room - Large balcony and looks out over the garden and Sea. There is no swimming pool and no...

I stayed one night over the May Bank Holiday as a lone traveller to a convention in the BIC. I was able to park my car in the car park to the back of the hotel over the two full days. It took about 10 mins to walk own to the pier. However, anyone unable to manage hills would find this difficult!! The room was clean and welcoming. The staff friendly. I was very impressed by the old fashioned grandeur of the hotel of a different time and place away from modern life. The front gardens are splendid and lovely to sit out in. My breakfast was gorgeous, cooked to order with everything you could ask for, looking out across the gardens onto the sea. Fabulous. And a bargain too at only £65 for a single room for the night.

We stayed here over the bank holiday and could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Miramar. Although the decor was a little dated, the room was of an excellent size, with a great bed and lovely sitting area, all in view of the wonderful gardens and the sea. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was great. Only drawback was the hairdryer- bring your own if you don't want your hair eaten

Room Tip: Top floor avoids noise from bar-make sure you have a sea view

This was my first stay at the Miramar and it was absolutely superb, I went with a large group of friends for a weekend away in March and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and meals in the restaurant were delicious and varied with waiter service for both breakfast and evening meal. The staff were wonderful and very efficient. There are super views over the sea which is just a short walk away.
I would definitely use this hotel again should I visit Bournemouth, a wonderful experience.
