My friend recently had an 80th birthday everything was perfect service amazing food was acceptable so I decided to tip the barman and waiters for their excellent customer service when I was disgusted to watch the restaurant staff take the whole thing. (If you want to tip give it to the right person) the rooms were beautiful and comfortable would definitely go there for parties or liesurely holiday!

A wonderful Edwardian country house hotel that just happens to be located on the Bournemouth seafront in a wonderful location . It has a small intimate feel and in the lounge , [ which by the way is about the largest I have come across relative to the size of the hotel ] . You could imagine Poirot popping up to solve a mystery .
The service was 5 star, in fact this hotel punches well above its 3 star rating . The food at both dinner and breakfast was unsophisticated but very tasty and well cooked .

We had a double deluxe with a sea view and balcony [ the Shelley room ] . A very comfortable room with seating for 6 and a newish bathroom . The balcony was wonderful although with this years weather we could not make use it . But the sea view was lovely .The housekeeping was outstanding and in keeping with the rest of the staff always a smile .My only critisism is that the bed was very hard .

Overall it is great value for money and if you are not bothered about a spa and other fripperies of a 4 or 5 star hotel then spend your money on a deluxe room at the Miramar instead .You will not regret it .

Room Tip: go for a sea view when you have this sort of location . It is a must .

Just had another great Weekend at the Miramar. There were 67 of us for the weekend and not one complaint from any guest. Food is excellent and all the staff are friendly and helpful
If you are planning to hold a weekend function then this is the place.
Thank you Miramar Hotel.

In some ways it was like stepping back in time - In a nice way.
The hotel describes itself as a country house by the sea and thats just what you get.
The Miramar is very traditional and is very well located for exploring Bournemouth.
Newly refurbished rooms, good quality bedding and towels, and all kept very clean.
Free parking and as others have said - friendly helpful staff.

I am a lover of modern hotels however I can honestly say that I enjoyed this experience.

Room Tip: It goes without saying that seaview rooms are the best.

Having stayed at the Miramar before on a regular basis, it was the obvious choice to spend a couple of nights there with all our family following our wedding in January. The staff were, as always, helpful, cheerful and polite, and catered for our group of 14 very well. All the family really enjoyed it, so much so, that we are thinking of doing it again on our anniversary next January. The only drawback here is that private functions take precedence over the comfort of guests so you can find yourself without the facilities of the lounge to accommodate a funeral party or suchlike. This happened on all three days that we were there but the weather was fine so we were able to go out out of the way. There are other rooms in the garden suite that could be used without affecting resident guests but this options does not appear to be considered-pity because I'm sure some funeral parties would prefer to be in their own private room rather than have unsuspecting guests wandering in or grumbling because they can't use the lounge if the weather is bad. The staff are great, though,(it's the management that are the problem!) and it's just like going back to see old friends when we visit.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front, nearer Bournemouth pier end and on the second floor are better if there is a fun...

I had a great stay! Freshly refurbished rooms, AMAZING garden, brilliant food. What more can you ask?

I came here on business, but I will definitely return with my family. The very best hotel I have stayed in in Bournemouth.
