My wife and I have just returned from a 2 night midweek trip to The Chine Hotel. This may only be rated as a Three Star hotel but it is truly unique and full of wonderful charm and character. The Hotel, which dates back to the 19th Century, has been tastefully restored to a real high quality standard. Despite its central location it sits within three acres of beautifully landscaped gardens which are meticulously maintained. You are greeted with stunning views from the Dining Room and Bar area where reasonably priced, quality food is served by attentive and friendly staff.
The bedrooms do not disappoint either. This hotel gets the basics right. The rooms are clean and are finished to a really good standard. Sleeping in a Super King size bed is a welcome surprise and even the little things like large, fluffy bath towels (which are changed daily) and good quality toilet paper show that this hotel is well managed.
This was our first visit to the Bournemouth area - and this hotel is an excellent ambassador to an area that has also been thoughtfully designed and maintained.
We really couldn't fault this hotel and if you are reading this I really hope that you "take a chance" and make a booking like we did - you really won't be disappointed!
