This museum is like stepping into someones house in the past. You can see how this family lived and their travels are so vivid from their souvenirs. The riches they returned with. I spent a good 2 hours looking around and could have stayed longer.

This beautiful house is quite fascinating in itself, but the statues and artwork are breathtaking. Sympathetically displayed with enough information to satisfy rather than overwhelm. Stunning views from the windows and a gentle, free flowing meander through the rooms. Plenty of seating if you wish to sit and study a single picture. We were fortunate to have a display including faeries and angels as well as artwork from Terry Pratchett's Disc world books! Fabulous.

Cafe well worth visiting, but very busy so be prepared to wait at peak times. But food appeared all home cooked and delicious.

Despite living in this area since childhood The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum is somewhere I have only recently discovered. It is a fascinating place with a charm all of it's own from a bygone age of wealth and opulence. There is a sense of serenity and calm in this place and such a variety of things to see. The views across the bay are fabulous and you can't help but wonder what life must have been like living there in Victorian times.

Today I was lucky enough to have a tour and the guide was incredibly good and really brought the history of the building to life.

Thoroughly recommend a visit here, you won't be disappointed

Rain threatened we spotted the sign and popped inside, well what helpful people,a warm welcome and a house jammed pack with delights from all around the world topped off by a reasonably priced coffee shop. They say every cloud has a silver lining and this one certainly did
