Well worth finding. A wonderfully interesting house and lots of amazing artefacts from around the world. Would have loved to have lived there just for the view.

Love this place, fabulous building steeped in interesting history but also for it's facilities and child friendly nature. a great place to take the kids out of the rain for some quiet time and drawing using their craft tables if down the sea front.

If you find yourself in Bournemouth on a dull or rainy day this is a great place to spend a couple of hours. A beautiful Victorian House stuffed full of paintings and art treasures from around the world. It is interesting both as a building with fantastic decor and furnishings as well as a museum and art gallery. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and the café does very good cakes and snacks. Don't be put off by the external scaffolding or the £5.00 admission charge it is well worth it.

We were a little dubious about entering as it doesn't really look anything from outside (scaffolding round the roof didn't help) but we were very pleased we did! It's a lovely place inside full of wonderful art work and interesting artefacts from their travels around the world. Such fantastic views from the windows, must have been a lovely place to live in it's going day.
