Very long clan beach with life guard stations. the beach is adjacent to the shopping centre and well kept parks. Traditional fairground rides can be found adjacent to the pier. Regarding the pier why charge for people to use it when there is nothing on it?

Wonderful insight into the lives of these people - their extensive travels must have been great fun with all that shopping; on one 4 week trip to Russia they brought back 40 cases of goods!! The house is fascinating and the displays are mind-blowing; as Grandpa Tom said the paintings alone are worth the visit.
We were lucky enough to be spoken to by a couple of the curators who gave us quite a bit of indepth information which really made our visit even more enjoyable (so the advice to go on the guided tour I would think is good in case you don't find a friendly curator or 2!)

A mad sort of place but the paintings alone are of sufficient quality to make a visit worthwhile. One couple's collection given to the town in a great act of generosity.

Interesting exhibits and paintings but the house interior is just so wonderfully quirky and unexpected . Well worth a visit just for the ambience .
