We spent 3 days at the Marriott with our grandchildren aged 3 and 5 in two adjoining rooms - it was excellent. The position for everything you could want to do in Bournemouth was stunning. Easy access to the quieter end of the beach, but a few minutes stroll to the bustle of the square and an easy walk through the park into town.
The staff were really good - very friendly with the children but doing their job as well. The only downside was housekeeping - we had to keep asking for soap, biscuits, shower gel etc - and the first day they had not done the room when we returned a 4 45. Small things, but irritating.
We ate dinner in the restaurant twice and on the terrace for lunch twice. The terrace was a great place to eat after our mistake of having something inedible at Harry Ramsden!
The food was very good and the staff quite outstanding
We look forward to the refit and are quite sure we will return. Yes at the moment things need doing, - the bathrooms especially are dated, but we still went home feeling we'd made the right choiceMore
