I've lived in Bournemouth for a few years and never bothered to visit the Oceanarium.
To be honest I expected a few fish tanks in a big room ... or something like that.
It was a nice surprise to see how it all was done.
Of course you can't compare it with any of the huge & popular Oceanariums around the globe.
Hey, its got the tunnel where shark and turtles swim above you.
I can imagine that children love it.
Go and try for yourself. It could do with a bit of fresh paint here and there.

We took our 8 month old son to the aquarium on a rainy december day, as we thought he'd enjoy it. He loved the bog concave and convex tanks he could get right up to a watch the fish. It's not massive but there's a fair bit to see and it seemed like decent value for money. Feeding time in the main tank was great!
