Dear fellow murder mystery character,

Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed the murder mystery weekend. It was my first too I really enjoyed it too like everyone I spoke to and it was great fun. Even I was guessing right up to the last moment and particularly enjoyed the final drama.

I look forward to seeing you again soon, and getting some screen shots done.

Langtry Manor turned our wedding anniversary into an experience which we will never forget. Our room was upgraded and we had a FABULOUS , private, dinner in the King's Room. The personal service was first class which made the occasion very special. We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff who did there very best to make our stay memorable. They certainly succeeded. Go and see for yourself..... you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to the Emily Le Breton room. It was in the Manor and to the rear overlooking a quie...

And so the bride awoke from her deep slumber, in the magnificent Jacobean bed, the light gently streaming in, through a chink in the heavy luxurious velvet curtain, of the majestic King's Room (once the love nest of King Edward V11 and his mistress Lillie Langtry). Had all the wonders of yesterday occurred, or had she been dreaming?.......My fiancé, Jason and I, arrived on Wednesday, for a three night stay at Langtry Manor, for our long awaited Thursday Midweek Wedding, consisting of Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast, in Langtry Manor, followed later, by an Evening Reception with Evening Buffet and also Disco in Langtry Lodge, across the road. We checked in and were made immediately to feel very welcome, and were assisted with our luggage and boxes of wedding supplies, by the absolutely most amazingly helpful and courteous Tony. Nothing was too much for him, even helping with setting up our vintage sweet buffet table. The day itself dawned, after what seemed only a few minutes sleep in the glorious kings bed. Breakfast was delightful, cooked to perfection, served by wonderful staff, with beautiful classical music, and saxophone Cds playing softly in the background. Although, both nervous, we were now set up nutritiously, for the day ahead. I prepared for the 1pm ceremony, while my beloved, ran around with Langtry staff, preparing things. Our deepest thanks to Tomas, The Hotel Manager, truly a saint, for dealing with a library load of emails I composed, full of idea's and questions for the impending wedding day. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he patiently dealt with everything by reply email and also on the day beautifully, and perfectly with professionalism. thank you also to Marion, who assisted him and also made our day a pleasure, also, the delightful Monika, and Tony and John (more on them later). The ceremony and wedding breakfast were amazing. The food was beyond perfection (compliments to the chef), and the service by the waiting staff, divine. Only the finest hotels, have the wine waiters trained, in holding the wine bottles correctly, on pouring! Everything was organised and executed so professionally, right through to guidance of the cutting of the cake, when a few snap happy guests decided to crowd around! We were brought drinks from a beautiful twin (pewter?) loving cup to drink from during the reception, and also presented with a delightful Langtry Manor Wedding Scroll, during the spectacular dessert, of Lillie Langtry fresh cream and fruit meringue swans, adorned by a sparkler. The evening buffet and service was also a delight. Food superb and attention by staff, brilliant, a genuine smile from every single one! Next morning we were served breakfast in our room, The Kings Room. The enormous genuine jacobean four poster bed was breathtakingly comfortable, the room, a masterpiece, with high ceilings, a glorious chandelier, two sofa's near a huge fireplace, and a bathroom with a rectangular jacuzzi bath for 2, with a television flush in one end of the wall and separate shower enclosure. Gorgeous bath products and luxurious fluffy robes and slippers completed the heavenly experience. We pre ordered breakfast, the night before, and it was presented beautifully, cooked exquisitely and also plentiful. We have stayed in some of the finest hotels, and so far, this experience from start to finish, was faultless perfection. A fairytale wedding, beyond our wildest dreams, Langtry Manor made this happen. Yes the hotel is beautiful, steeped in history and full of character and charm, sprinkled with magic and fairy dust, but the staff make it what it is. They are absolutely superb, a credit to the owners. Two shining stars deserve an extra special mention. Tony, who helped, assisted and was amazing, and also the equally wonderful John, superb! Yes we were sad to say Goodbye, but, not too sad, as we have already secured our booking for a few nights, for our 1st Wedding Anniversary :) It had to be done! Thank You All again, for making our wedding so special. Langtry Manor, We Salute You! From Helen & Jason (Mr & Mrs Downing)

Stayed here as a surprise birthday treat and what a wonderful hotel the Langtory Manor is. The Lille Langtory room is hugely romantic and the jacuzzi is great added touch. The hotel staff are very welcoming, chatty and friendly and appear genuinely keen to make your stay perfect. The staff took us to our room providing us with a brief history of the hotel and made us feel welcome to explore the exquisite 'kings' room, making the stay feel even more magical. What a great place for a couple and only a short drive away from the centre of Bournemouth. Wonderful!

This was our second stay and we stayed in Langtry Manor a separate part of the hotel. It was excellent just as before. All of the staff go that extra mile to make sure you have wonderful stay. The location is excellent the room and facilities are excellent and immaculately clean. The extra touch of chocolates and a red rose on the bed together with slippers made it extra special too. The hotel is steeped in history and is somewhere that would be of interest to everyone. The location is such that you can be at the beach within 5 minutes and it has its own parking which makes life a lot easier. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant the breakfast was excellent. Everything is cooked to order and not left out on display to dry up. The hotel has lovely gardens and rooms to relax in. We were lucky that we picked a hot weekend so spent most of our time walking so didn't take advantage of these facilities apart from reading the papers in the quiet lounge in the morning. The hotel caters very well for functions and weddings are a speciality and I can see why. If you haven,t tried this hotel yet then put it on you to do list you will not regret it!

Dear Paula,

I am so glad you came back a second time and and enjoyed it just as much as your first. It is very nice of you to take the time to write a review and we do love to receive them.

We recommend dining in at least once during your stay to get the full langtry manor experience. The best is the saturday night edwardian dinner which in addition to the six courses includes a cameo on the life of Lillie Langtry and her history performed by an accomplished actress. It creates a moment of emotion and appreciation of this extra-ordinary woman an puts the history and surroundings in context.

Thank you once again.

We stayed over for a couple of nights and had a great stay. Room was large, lots of light and a wonderful view. Service was friendly and not too formal, which we like.
Breakfast was lovely and even though we were a little close to the deadline we did not feel rushed like in other hotels.
Will probably book again in the summer.
