4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Stayed here as I booked sailing with Escape Yachting in Lymington...all hotels near New Forest and Christchurch sold out so why not Bournemouth given it was supposed to be the hottest weekend of the year.

They were great in terms of confirming the reservation when I called up...although booking.com didn't show a triple room, they were able to accommodate and the price was comparable to what we paid so worth checking with the hotel directly.

Stayed in a Sea View superior room, which was spacious and had a balcony and had a view of the sea, the beach, which was magnificent. Rooms were spacious and bathroom very modern (refurbed). My friends stayed in a standard rooms and they weren't too pleased about the rooms, but given that, we are used to staying in 4/5* hotels but stayed here due to short notice.

I would rank this as a solid 3* hotel...if you are expecting the Marriot or Hilton, it's not. But what it is, is a very solid 3* hotel, with very good service, free car park, free wifi and they don't accept stag/hen groups which was good for us.

The pool outdoors is pretty sizable, and towels are provided free...theres also a changing room too.

Tried some food at the lobby cafe, and I have to say drinks and food were very well priced I was shocked at the lower prices vs drinking/eating at a 4/5* hotel bar..think £2 for a lot of the shots!

Feedback to the hotel would perhaps be that they should look at changing the mattresses..I stayed in a superior room and i could feel the springs on my back so slept with the blanket on top given weather was warm anyway.

If i found myself staying here again, it'd only be in the Superior room, but that's my taste.

Well done for running an efficient, clean, warm, and fairly priced hotel

We recent stayed for a night at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms although basically furnished were a very good size and perfectly comfortable , an added bonus was an iron and ironing board in the room. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room although no biscuits, these could be purchased at the bar. The breakfast was very good as was the evening meal. This hotel is just a short walk from the pier, but walking could prove a problem to somebody with walking problems as the hill is a bit steep. Overall we really enjoyed our night and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are great.

Dear Bernie1111,
Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel.
Here at the Days Hotel Bournemouth we pride ourselves on friendly, helpful staff to ensure that our guests receive a high standard of service throughout their stay and am glad that this continued throughout your stay.
We have a good location for easy access to the town and beach; however most of the hotels in Bournemouth are on a cliff top.
We hope to be able to welcome you again in the future.
Kind regards

We had a fantastic stay at the Days Hotel Bournemouth, it was the perfect base for the Air Festival. The pool was great, the kids thouroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was good and we found the staff throughout our whole stay to be friendly and efficient. We have only one negative, the toilet paper could have been of a better quality! Thanks for a great stay.

Formally Marsham Court. Stayed 5 nights from 19th August. Had room 202. Nice twin bedded room with good sea view. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Arrived in time for breakfast. Good choice. All nice and hot. Replenished frequently. We had evening meal included in price. Where could you get a 5 course evening meal, part silver service for £15 a head. All meals were hot, nicely served and a good variance of choice. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit at Christmas.

Room Tip: We have stayed here often. We generally like 3rd floor with a side sea view facing the Pier. But if...

I got married last week. My wife and I decided to go to Bournemouth for a few days before our main honeymoon to NY in December.

We booked to stay at the Days Hotel as it looked fairly close to the beach. The hotel was very easy to find and certainly is close to the beach! When we arrived, we had to park in the car park to the rear. I thought the car park layout could be improved, but I couldn't say how.

Check in was very easy and we went straight to our room, which was very clean and tidy.

We unpacked and settled in, plugged my laptop into the tv to watch some films and ordered some room service. The room service is a little limited - sandwiches, biscuits etc. There didn't seem to be any cooked food available for room service.

The bedroom itself was a good size. They kept us stocked up with tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The bathroom was moderate sized and again very clean and tidy. There was no lock on the sliding door and the shower panel leaked water down the side quite severely. I'm sure that's not representative of the other rooms though.

We didn't have the greatest weather whilst there, but darn it, we're British and we will take a dip in the pool even if it is on the chilly side! The pool itself was very nice, clean and a good size. The sun did shine for a while which made the dip in the pool very worthwhile.

The hotel is very close to the beach and a short walk to the main beach front area, next to the Pier, the Oceanarium and The Crab restaurant (somewhere I also highly recommend)!

All in all a very pleasant stay at the Days Hotel. If we come to stay in Bournemouth any time soon, I will certainly consider staying here again!

Dear PeterBrand,
Congratulations on getting married and we hope that you have a long and happy marriage together.
I am glad that you enjoyed the first few days of married life here with us at the Days Hotel Bournemouth and having been to New York several times I am sure you will have a wonderful honeymoon in December. Wrap up warm though!
In the bedrooms you will find a 24 hour menu, which comprises of cold sandwiches and drinks; however as stated in the guest service directory hot food is available for room service between 12pm to 8.30pm. I am sorry if this has not been made clear and we will relook at this when we update it next.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I hope we will be able to welcome you and your wife again in the future.
Kind regards
