We secured a voyage price deal at The Green House hotel on Easter Sunday for a 1night dinner b&b with afternoon tea. We arrived at 4pm to a pre-booked tea of fresh home made scones and clotted cream, delicious. We had a small but very comfortable room on the second floor, only complaint was being opposite the lift so hearing the "ping" ever time the lift arrived was a pain, but didn't distract our sleep.
Room was very well equipped, lovely double bed with crisp white sheets, tea and coffee facilities, flat screen TV and a Bose iPod dock, nice touch was complimentary filtered still and sparkling water and biscuits. The bathroom was very clean and modern with a large walk in corner shower, no bath though, and plenty of lotions and potions.
The hotel claims to be the greenest hotel in GB and may well be. They certainly pride themselves on sourcing sustainable materials in the refurbishment of the hotel and sustainable practices in the continued management, a very noble achievement.
We ate a six course taster menu in the restaurant with a complimentary glass of prosecco, very tasty food and great presentation. Service a little off the mark but very pleasant staff. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, having accepted that they provide breakfast until 10:30 we had a lie in and arrived at 10:10 only to find they had run out of most things and what they had was a little on the stingy side when it came to portions and quality, and unfortunately the staff appeared inadequately trained in customer service.

That aside none of these idiosyncrasies spoiled a very enjoyable stay and we would certainly return.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms opposite the lift!

Stayed here in a really nice room, well appointed, roll top bath, good shower, comfy bed, fresh milk for your in room tea. The chef preparing dinner was excellent, my only gripe was the portion size. Food this good makes you want more.

There was a wedding on when we stayed and the noise was pretty annoying and soundproofing in the room could have been better. I heard pretty much everything going on in the hotel. The manager was good when we pointed all this out and reduced our final bill. I'm sure it would be much better if there's no wedding on.

We stayed here for one night as we were in Bournemouth for a Comedy Show.
The Hotel is beautifully presented and the staff fantastic.
We were in Crab Apple Room, which is absolutely stunning.
The champagne on arrival and the homemade cookies were a wonderful touch.
I absolutely would recommend this hotel and would definately stay again.

Room Tip: Crab Apple Room, it's a truly beautiful room especially for couples...

Really comfortable room; we had a large double and it was really nice. Booked through Mr and Mrs Smith which also meant that we received a free glass of champagne on arrival. The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. A few low points; the hotel seemed very quiet, and the communal areas (dining room and bar) lacked the warmth of other places we have stayed at; no pictures on the walls, or anything to give context to the local area. Secondly, for the price; £185 inc dinner bed and breakfast, the hotel lacked that extra personal touch that one would hope for; no little extras in the room (chocolates etc.), a pool or spa treatments, or even an armchair in our bedroom, and the service was friendly but very distant. Definitely in agreement with Pegpeg12 on this point. I think we felt that although the room was excellent it felt a little overpriced.

This hotel makes you feel special and we would highly recommend it!
The rooms are excellently presented and the food is of very high quality. If you have the opportunity, book the tasting menu, the chef's creativity with each dish is joy to behold.
Go ahead and book it, you will not be disappointed!
