“Stylish hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2011

Stylish hotel on the seafront, close to the Bournemouth International Centre and with good views of the pier. We stayed in a double room with a sea view which was spotlessly clean with modern furniture and decor. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. No parking on site but the hotel has dedicated spaces in the car park of the Bournemouth International Centre for a small charge (which worked fine). There's a stylish bar/restaurant downstairs which is also used as the breakfast room. The breakfasts themselves were very tasty and the staff gave excellent service. Overall we were thoroughly impressed with our stay (and to be honest, we were surprised that this place didn't get a higher ranking out of Bournemouth hotels).

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for valentines weekend, and we both thought it was really nice. The staff were really friendly, hotel room was very tidy. The room was smaller than advertised in picture but that didn't really matter. Would definatelt stay here again and for a good price highly recommended ;)

After a long business journey with 5 hours driving included , the last thing I want is poor staffing, I just want to get to my room fast and relax . On check in Fran was there to help me , nothing was too much trouble and her manner was very very welcoming . So many times I have been greeted by surly, non welcoming staff who hate their jobs so much they are more like robots , or even worse just chatting and hurrying you out of the way so they can get on surfing the net istead!! This was a different welcome .Fran clearly cares about her role and was smiling early next morning when I went for Breakfast the next day ! The room was very nice and big ( room 210 ) spotlessly clean and the power shower was awesome, Breakfast was nice with a sea view to rfelax before the day starts .I will be returning on my trips to Bourmemouth in the near future . After years of visiting I have found a nice base for all my visits .

We were upgraded to a suite and it was beautiful. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. The service was great and the staff were more than happy to assist when requested,

If you're atttending an event at the BIC, it's brilliantly located. I booked a Double Room with Sea View online for 2 nights. Be aware, this hotel has very limited car parking facilities and other guests were seeking the location of the nearest car park, which is near the BIC at a cost, near enough, but it's something to consider if your arrive tired. Check in was excellent with friendly and efficient staff. My room was a Double with Seaview for 2 without breakfast. Seaview, excellent although it was from the smallest window possible. For cleanliness and bed comfort; faultless and immaculate. I didn't book breakfast: Breakfast remains something of a mystery here, and I think the hotel actively seemed to discourage it almost.. Bathroom was the smallest I've ever experienced in all my 20 years of hotel staying. Stand up: get both arms out horizantal; turn round 360 degrees - and touch the four walls - that was the size of our bathroom. No bath. But good shower. Tiny bathroom, tiny. Forget bathroom sharing if your'e in room 506. But immaculately clean, with lovely soft towels. Kettle overboiled without switching off. The focus of the hotel appears to be the Crab Restaurant. We met friends for drinks at the bar which is separated from the dining room slightly. Bar is slightly pricey and posh but attentive and professional service if a little surly. We considered dining there but having looked at the menu, decided not to; decision assisted by observing the great looking yet zombie-like waiters who disdainfully look you up and down without any greeting at all. Food looked fishily excellent, but if you're starving after a long journey, don't fall for their prices - go for a much cheaper italian or chinese within a 5 minute walk. On arrival our towels were immaculately folded on the bed; why? because there's no room to hang or place them in the bathroom. No comp bathrobes - where on earth would they hang them? Not in diddy land bathroom. One of the most comfortable beds ever; beautifully clean bedroom. For bed comfort and cleanliness; excellent. For those additional extras; nil. Value for money; ok. Would I recomend it? Hmmm, ok, and only because the other hotels so close to the BIC looked to me so worn out and past it. Excellent location.

Good location directly opposite the Bournemouth International Centre. Very clean and neat rooms, although pretty small. We were upgraded to a seaview room which was nice, although pretty compact in size. Having stayed at the Premier Inn several times, I consider this to be slightly lower in rating to the Premier Inn, particularly given the prices. Overall good hotel though.

Was near Bournemouth to collect an item recently purchased.
Fancied a few nights away whilst in the area and checked ""Trip Advisor"".
Read previous reviews and set off for the weekend with my wife.
Hotel great, rooms up to date and modern.
Clean and tidy in a great location - half way between beach and town center - Opposite Pier.
Staff very friendly, warm and welcoming.
Food in restaurant excellent with plenty of help and advice from staff.

Will definitely stay again inf in the area and once again shows how useful Trip Advisor is otherwise may not have found this one.
