We stayed at the Boscombe Spa Hotel through an internet offer and were really pleased. We had the downstairs room as my husband is walking disabled. The bed was a comfortable king size and although the room wasn't big, it suited us perfectly. The hotel is well looked after and Christine who owns the hotel and runs it was lovely. You can spread out from your room to a large reception room with TV and games which we did. The breakfasts are really good and offer a wide variety of choices, my husband still reminds me how good they were, particularly the poached eggs. The hotel is conveniently situated for local restaurants and the sea front, parking is free and the king size beds throughout make this a hotel not to be missed. A tour of the hotel was impressive for the amount of money charged. Rooms upstairs are large and comfortable, and nicely decorated. We will be returning as we had such a good time and hopefully we can try an upstairs room.

Room Tip: Try the upstairs rooms, they are lovely

My partner and I stayed here for one night to go to the BIC to see Dara O'Briain. We were met by one of the owners who helpful told me I could park at the front of the hotel.

Both owners were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us a photocopied map to keep, and placed local restaurants in both the Boscombe and central Bournemouth area. The room was at the perfect temperature and was very clean.

Various breakfast menu items were offered (full English was cooked to order and was wonderful!).

The room rate was extremely reasonable. We would definately stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Room 14 (ground floor) was quiet!

Stayed here for 1 night to go to the 02 academy, and the location was brilliant, only 5 mins walk away. Owners very friendly and extremely helpful, they recommended a lovely restaurant near by and mapped out our onward journey.
Our room was warm, clean and functional - perfect for one night. Breakfast was freshly cooked and set us up for the day.
Room price was VERY reasonable and we would definately stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights this weekend and had a wondeful time. The hotel was very clean and the owmers were very accomodating. I would recommed it to anyone, as is within easy reach of beach and places to eat and shops too. Our room was lovely, a very good size and comfortable.Breakfast was lovely too and plenty of it I am sure we will return. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Arrived late on a Friday evening and stayed one night. Shown up to room by the owners 'helper'. The owners were out. One of the windows had no curtains.

Arrived back at the room after an evening walk along the promenade (location excellent). When we closed the bedroom door, having had difficulty in opening anyway, we found that we were locked in! The lock was jammed. We used our mobile to phone reception (no phone in room) 14 times (no joke). On the third occasion we left a message on the hotel answering machine. We could hear the phone ringing from our room and had seen the 'helper' on our way in.

15-20 minutes passed. Nothing- despite knocking and banging on the floor for attention. LUCKILY another guest walked by and heard our calls for help. They got the 'helper' and we were let free.

The following morning, we went down for breakfast (only served between 8:30-9:00). The owner was frosty, but did serve a nice breakfast.

Went back to our room to have a shower. The water temperature before breakfast had been cold. It was fine in the end.

On departure at 10:30 we thought it best to mention the faulty lock. The owner looked at us as although it was our fault. "It has never happened before in all these years. You must have touched the button." We had only closed the door. A simple genuine 'sorry' would have sufficed - this did not come. It also turns out that the 'helper' was told not to answer the phone.

We left feeling most unhappy at what COULD have potentially been very dangerous had there been a fire. We shall not be returning.
