Apart from the very noisy neighbours on our last nights stay we had a fabulous 5 nights here. We were checked in by the lovely Becky and Joanna who were both welcoming and helpful and couldn't have made our stay any better. Well done girls, you are a credit to travelodge! Infact everyone we encountered during our stay from the cleaner to management were polite, helpful and informative. This is a great value for money hotel in a prime location with excellent staff! what more do you need?

Room Tip: room 302 had a sea view

We stayed here to attend a concert at the BIC so it was very convenient. On arrival we were disappointed that the car park was full but were directed to a nearby public car park. Initial concerns about stag/hen parties staying there were unfounded and we had no problems. The room was spacious and had a view but would have benefitted from a second chair. Dinner and breakfast were very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just stayed here for the second time and still as good as our previous visit. The location is excellent, with the seafront and town centre within easy walking distance, as long as you don't mind the walk uphill on the way back. The young lady on the reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful, greeting us everytime we came in, something that doesn't always happen at far more expensive hotels. Being a converted building rather than a purpose built hotel means that some rooms are inevitably larger than others. Our room was slightly smaller than last time, the only issue being that the dressing table/desk was quite close to the bottom of the bed but this didn't prove to be as much of an issue as we'd thought. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with good quality bedding and a comfortable bed. On check-in, the receptionist mentioned that the rooms could get quite warm in the summer and offered a fan, which we accepted and which proved to be quite useful. The only issue is that the television only had 9 channels, something that I find illogical given that Freeview is available nationwide, but if you don't spend much time in your room, this won't be a problem. The car park is small and costs £5 per day - we didn't have any problems finding a space. At £35 per night, this hotel provides excellent value for money and with the quality of customer service and the comfortable rooms, I would struggle to find anywhere better for the money.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the front of the building (i.e. above the reception area) have limited sea views so it...

First time in one of the refurbished TravelLodges. The rooms only storage was a small desk, a small shelf with 5 coat hangers, the ledge above the bed head and the two small cubby holes built into the head board either side of the bed, which were blocked off when we asked for the bed to be split into two singles. There was no storage in the bathroom apart from the ledge above the boxed in pipework and the fold down seat in the shower. I queried this with the manager and was told that was the standard provision in all rooms. Therefore we had to live out of our suitcases and 3 of our 4 small bags had to remain on the floor.

There was one plastic easy chair and when I asked for a second chair to save having to sit on the bed a plastic dining chair was provided. The easy chair was too uncomfortable to use as it dug into your back but it proved useful as a bedside table.

The main window had a almost totally misted up double glazed panel and the frame was partly rotten.

There is very limited tight parking at the location and I damaged the front underside of the car on a low wall/high kerb trying to park in the only empty bay opposite the entrance. This is obviously an ongoing problem as evidenced by the condition of the wall. I raised the issue with the manager and offered a couple of solutions but did not get any feedback on likely action.

Parking costs £5 per day and you can pay for up to three days at once but I wouldn't recommend it as this does not guarantee a space. We did not have to pay as my wife has a blue badge but we were only told this when we asked. I noticed a couple of days later that this information is on a sign but as it is 20 feet from the payment machine, it is easily missed.

There is some free on street parking but I would think it would be very difficult to find a space in busy periods. Even midweek in early June I saw people circling the streets either side of the Lodge looking for a space.

As we were flexible on dates we opted for Sunday to Thursday at an average of £46.50 a night as Friday and Saturday were £75 so it was good value.

It provided good value for money and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Myself and my family had a lovely time there. Thanks to the manager and his team.
We shall not hesitate to use the hotel next time as the location is also excellent.

Have stayed at this Travelodge on several occasions in the past and have never really had any problems with it. As usual the staff were accommodating on a room request (we asked for 4th floor and, if possible with sea view). We were in 418 which, although not the best sea view we have had, was quite acceptable. This room is directly opposite the lift and we were a little concerned there may be noise, but they have obviously dealt with this possibility by installing an inner door to the room, meaning there is a small lobby area between doors. The room had been fairly recently redecorated and, although on the small side, was perfectly acceptable for a one (or two) night stay. The bathroom was also fairly small, but, again, fine for a short stay. The bed looked very inviting - pristine bedding, plump pillows, and was sooooooo comfortable! Could not fault the cleanliness of the room. Even with the window open all night (it was quite warm), there was no noise either from outside or in.

A friend and I recently stayed here for one night when we went to see a show at the BIC. We were happily surprised with the modernised travel lodge. Staff were efficient and friendly, and we were given a family room too, which was a bonus. The room was large and spacious and for what we paid, great value for money. We are thinking of visiting Bournemouth again in the summer, and will definitely stay here again. Great location too, right near the seafront (literally a 2 min walk).
