“Nice Music Venue”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

This place was recommended to us for live music. So we went and had a meal and were pleasantly surprised as they also do spectacular cocktails. This helped to put us in the mood. They don't have music every night though so you may want to check just to be sure. We had a great romantic evening and enjoyed the place so much that we came back a couple more times during our stay just for the food. The staff made us feel really at ease and comfortable. This restaurant/bar was one of our favourite places we went on our holiday in Bournemouth.

“Steak Night - Yum”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

Having been recommended a visit to Reef Encounter by our hosts at Chalfield Manor Boutique Hotel we walked the short diastance to Reef Encoutner for the Wednesday Steak Night - salad, steak, grilled vine tomatoes, uinlimited fries, homemade pepper sauce and a bottle of wine for £33 per couple. What a bargain, the place is very surf shack-y with comfy seating, cutlery and napkins in a bucket on your table and fries served in an old tin cup. Staff look very surf dudes and babes but we didn't feel out of place although in our 40s and had such a great time my husband said that, if we lived in the area, we would always eat there! The sirloin steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy and thoroughly fab. We managed to leave room for dessert and decided to go for their cheesecake which is always mentione don reviews and rightly so. A 'deconstructed' cheesecake with raspberry coulis, two homemade lemon short bread biscuits and two scoops of yummy cheescake stuff. Oh yes, my husband also had a cocktail and we had a starter of buffalo wings and the bill came to under £60. Well recommended

“Brilliant”

Friendly and welcoming, this is cosy and intimate dining with so much to choose from on the menu. Best cocktails in Southern England! Best cheesecake next to my mum’s!

“Relaxed environment, good food”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Four of us went for a late lunch on Saturday, choice of indoors or outside, nice touch outside as they have blankets to keep the chill off, looked like there were heaters for the evening. We all had burgers which were pretty good and a drink, £15 per head including a tip. The service was friendly but let down by my pet hate which is that we waited a long time for the bill after we asked for it. I would definitely go back if nearby but not go there specially as the parking is a nightmare

“Great food again but.....”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We visit this restaurant very frequently and love the atmosphere staff and food a lot. Unfortunately we visited with friends who hadnt been before and though the food was excellent the service was not. It was a Saturday evening and the usual crew were not on. After dinner we were not offered desert( the chocolate brownie and Cheesecake are excellent) and where told the coffee machine had been switched off when we asked for coffee. It was a shame as we wanted desert and coffees instead we paid and left. A shame as we love this restaurant and wanted our friends to aswell. We will be going back hopefully to better service.
