My wife, who has a knack of finding excellent places to stay, excelled herself with this choice.
The owners, John & Chris, make you feel like you are old friends and are the hosts you dream about but seldom see. The accomodation is first class, the breaksfast is beyond anyones expectation. Personally I would have liked to stay a few more days so I could have tried all the available options as the ones I did try during our three day stay were delicious and the best I have ever had. The location is excellent with Tuckton a short walk away, Southbourne Beach 5 minutes walk away and Christchurch and Bournemouth a short drive.
In short would I go again? Yes. Would I recomend this B & B. Yes.
Go on, give B & B By The Beach a try. You deserve it.

My husband and myself have just returned from a 3 night break at ' Bed and Breakfast by the Beach' what a truly fabulous experience from the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by Chris & John .This is without doubt the best Bed & Breakfast we have stayed in and actually beats any 5* hotel we have stayed in too. Attention to detail is amazing everything is of a very high quality. They have thought of everything to make the guests feel comfortable and special. Bath robes, quality fluffy towels , complimentary toliletries, fresh flowers in room , bottles of water and fresh milk in room along with homemade treats. We stayed in room 4 which had a large bathroom with bath and shower . The bed was extremely comfortable , bedding gorgeous, slept like a log absolute heaven . The breakfast is an AMAZING experience a wonderful choice of fresh fruits and the homemade smoothies are to die for WOW! The cooked breakfast was beautiful choice of full English , Eggs Benedict , Homemade waffles. Gosh we have been spoilt rotten . ' Bed and Breakfast by the Beach' sits in a very nice and quiet part of Southbourne just a 5 minute walk down to the beach . Southbourne is a lovely place very clean and peaceful . We went for a much needed relaxing break to re-charge our batteries and we can honestly say that indeed we have . We will definitely go back , try stopping us !!!!! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS

I stayed here with my daughter for a couple of nights in a twin room at ‘Bed and Breakfast by the Beach’ and can honestly say it has to be the best B&B I’ve stayed in and defiantly beats the 4* hotels around. The room was tastefully decorated, with a large en-suite, flat screen TV, and Wi-Fi that actually works. Refreshments in our room were replenished daily and we were even treated to homemade rocky biscuits that where absolutely delicious. The breakfast was outstanding, with homemade smoothies, fresh fruit, full English, salmon, omelettes etc cooked to order. John and Christian are the perfect hosts, friendly and helpful, making all guests feel at ease. I highly recommend ‘Bed and Breakfast by the Beach’ and would not think twice about staying again.

This was a really special experience. The b&b is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Everything is thought about.. Homemade cakes, fluffy towels, bottles of water, really soft bedding and brilliant breakfast. We can't wait to go back.

BBBTB ( Bed & Breakfast By The Beach) is in the very relaxed, and quiet suburb of Southbourne. This part of Bournemouth is a million miles away from the bars and clubs, (well 5 miles if you must be pedantic) and in fact it is almost a mile from the nearest pub.
But Southbourne is a gem, peaceful with a very good range of shops and excellent restaurants as well as being just yards from the zig zag to the golden sands.
Chris and John dont just run the the BBBTB;- it is their passion, they are great hosts and the professional hospitality background just shines through. Amazing high standards, and attention to detail. Each room has interesting decor and pieces, comfortable beds, everything we needed and more we had not even thought about.
Lovely breakfasts : homemade smoothies, fresh berries , excellent breads and beautifully prepared local bacon , sausages.
Downside ? the BBBTB has none; - it was a throughly enjoyable stay and we will definately return.
We cannot recommend the BBBTB highly enough; it was a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: just book and turn up - every room is just a joy to stay in.
