We booked this hotel for our wedding weekend, along with some of our guests. And what a great weekend Nick and his staff, especially Andy who made sure everyone was happy, gave us.
The food was great, especially the breakfast, Also thankyou to Rob the chef who made us all full english breakfast, at a earlier time than they usually started cooking.
The rooms where very adequate for our needs, all facilities were accessible, The WiFi was very hit and miss, but overall we are very happy with The Dean Park Inn and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Room Tip: we had the 4 poster room, which is on the side of the hotel, it is very comfortable, quite a bit of...

When my boyfriend told me this hotel had been booked for his dads wedding i was a little worried but must say it was a lovely weekend! The rooms are small and there were a few things that needed seeing to, the shower door didnt shut propperly and one of the desk draws had no handle just a nail sticking out which he managed to cut himself on. however the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and the complimentarys were a nice touch.
The breakfast was lovely (poached eggs perfect) and the staff were brilliant and knowledgable. For the price we paid we expected the basic but the staff do make this place alot more. If youre looking for luxury id say book a larger more modern and expensive hotel but if you want a weekend away with cosy atmosphere and lovely staff come here :)

Room Tip: We saw the 4 poster room the bride and groom were staying in. 4 poster and massive corner bath.. def...

We stopped for one night at this pub. We were on our way to France and had a ferry crossing early in the morning. The room was serviceable and clean. The pub is not a 4 star establishment and should be judged for what it is. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The decor was not exactly wonderful but nor was the place dirty. for a one night stop, it served its purpose perfectly.

Room Tip: Not a lot to differentiate between any part of the pub.

i guess i was expecting a hotel ..maybe my fault .
good points :
staff were good and helpful
room was big
towels and bedding were very clean
breakfast was excellent
location was ok ..15/20 minute walk into town.
but then the bad points :
the rooms are shabby , dirty stained carpet , filthy windows full of cobwebs , cobwebs all over the skirting boards etc etc
Its a shame because i am sure if each room was bitzed ...maybe 1 room per day they could make a huge difference because it could be lovely .
I would suggest priority should be to either get a decent cleaner / get the exising staff on it or pay someone to Blitz it!
summary , it was ok as long as you are not too fussy

This has been our fourth stay at the Dean Park Inn. A new manager has taken over last week. He has brought enthusiasm and many good ideas with him which we look forward to seeing the results of when we come next time. Every member of staff has been welcoming, helpful and friendly - making us feel very at home. The food is excellent and very resonably priced. The only thing I will say against the Dean is the decor is very tired but you get what you pay for and the rooms are very reasonably priced.and functional. The atmosphere in the bar is great and we meet many of the locals who welcome us back each time we come. Quiz night on Thursday should not be missed - a great night of entertainment. The music that is played at other times is good too; appealing to all ages whether you like 60's, Rock, Mowtown or more up to date tunes.

We stayed at this hotel, and apon arrival for checkin we were met by 2 drunks at the bar before lunch,as the entrance to the hotel is through the bar area! After un loading the car the drunk at the bar was now in the carpark female with her jeans near her ankles arguing with the other drunk! This was all very un nerving with a young family!! We went to our room thinking at 1st it's ok but under closer inspection the carpets were not hoovered, I also kept sneezing due to thick dust! Tea facilities no milk, no tea spoons, and 1 tea bag, empty toilet roll left on the sink, The shower tray still had left over hair from the last person, but the ultimate disgust for me was having fesis on the toilet seat!! Photos below!! The following morning breakfast was ok but the waiter left all the plates to mount up on our table of 4 people. I would defiantly not recommend this hotel I felt un clean and it's certainly not a 4* hotel more like a * 2 star at a push!!
