You can access the head either directly from the coast or by passenger ferry from Mudeford Quay. If you travel by car there is a car park although I thought it was a bit expensive. You can park in bays along the access road although there is a time restriction (I think it was an hour). After 7 pm it is unrestricted.
We walked all around the headland, and a lot of the paths are tarmac so it is good to walk on. It is obviously a little steep in places but the views are worth the effort. You can walk right down onto Mudeford spit where all the beach huts are, and there are also toilets here. If you like natural beauty it really is a must!
