“Excellent budget hotel!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Our 4th floor room, which had a full width window, gave us a delightful view over the sea, beach, pier and the town centre.

The room was reasonably spacious with a very comfortable king sized bed and a choice of soft or firm pillows! Very thoughtful. A very good night's sleep!!!

Standard budget hotel fittings and complementaries.

stayed in this hotel overnight as down for a concert....had room 703.....unexpected sea view...not full on but very pleasant...very large balcony area as corner room...hotel and room decor fab ..spotlessly clean as always for Premier..staff pleasant and helpful...only a couple of things to comment on..the frosted bathroom door is right on top of the bed...a lack of privacy...and also the parking isnt ideal...but better than nothing....you do get 33% off your ticket from Premier...but car park a bit dodgy...other than that a brill stay..with excellent breakfast...Well Done to all the staff involved17/05/13-18/05/13...you all helped make our stay a pleasure..Thank you !!

Room Tip: 703 gives a great partial sea view with a massive balcony area...ideal if ctaying with lots of beach...

Having stayed here before on several occasions really disappointed. My room was tired flaky paint Waller paper was lifting in areas.the Tv did not work. No heating. Had to stand on a chair to open the window ,but did not need to open as the room was really cold. Bathroom really small with small leaky shower the shower took 5 mins to warm up. If you had a shore at night the towels were still wet I the morning . I ordered an iron on arrival took over2 days. Took 48 hours to sort the TV out. They replaced the Tv but you had to watch in on an uncomfortable chair as it was flat against he wall and you could not see it it you sat on the bed The bar on the mezzanine floor had grubby chairs. Some of the restraint staff were good but a young couple asked for a high hair and the reaction my the staff was well bellowed the expected standard. Poor standard gone downhill rapidly

Room Tip: Grubby , tired, no heating and TV didn't work. I reported the faults and it took 48 hours. The...

We booked the Premier to stay at whilst going to see Prodijig at the Pavillion Theatre. No problem parking at the rear and we got there at 3pm but all the sea view rooms had gone because a lot of police were staying there for their annual conference. The room was excellent. We did the meal deal and had a lovely 3-course meal overlooking the sea front before the show which was a stone throw away. After the show a short walk back to the bar for a drink. In the morning we had the "eat as much as you like" breakfast and we did. All in all excellent and would easily stay here again.

Room Tip: Central to town/seafront and both show venues and discounted parking at the rear of the hotel

Lovely place - beautifully decorated, very modern and clean. Good bathroom. Great location. Nice pub attached to it and we had a good value evening meal. Good parking. Will definitely stay here again if i get the chance!

Room Tip: We asked for a twin room and got a very large room - possibly family room - 1 double bed and 1 sin...

This hotel was ok, good value for the money. The rooms are clean same as the bathroom.
Breakfast was ok too, nothing overwhelming.
Try to get a room on the upper floor, the view is really great.

The hotel is near to the city center and to the beach. Morning run....
Didnt try the food in the restaurant.

Room Tip: Upper floor to see the sea!

My first stay here and I was very impressed. It's a bit of a walk from the main train station but probably les than 5 minutes in a taxi. The building is a huge, very imposing pile. I think 1930s or so. The entrance lobby would make you think Hercule Poirot would walk past! Check in was quick and efficient and I was soon on the 4th floor. The view really was fantastic, both at daytime and at night. Room was large and clean, the bed was very comfortable and unlike my stat at the Premier Inn in Brighton a few days earlier, the heating worked! Although on a fairly busy looking road, the room had no noise from outside and I stayed on a Saturday night. I can't comment on food here; there are plenty of dining options within a 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. The only 2 things I can fault was that the desk was a bit scratched, and the dark corridor from the lift to the room was a bit of a walk, but these are just very small niggles when compared to the overall very high service and standard. Definitely worth a stay!

Room Tip: Beg for a sea view and a room on a high floor!
