Lightest omelettes and scones, fresh fresh fresh food. Just wonderful, a delightful find on a rainy day. Just great. GO VISIT! Their Earl Grey tea is a revelation. You can also buy some to take home. I am nearly out, reminder to self to get more. You will really enjoy the 'back in time' atmosphere, the china, tea strainers, no rush and delicious food. Can't wait to go back.

Gary, David and Julie run the best possible 'old skool' quintessentially English establishment. Superb leaf tea and vittles provision, especially their 'Chrispy Crumpets' ! Unreservedly recommended, well played all concerned !

Last day of our holiday in Devon, and we'd been very remiss and not yet had a cream tea. This was rectified on a visit to Totnes. We were lured in by the amazing looking cakes in the window, and for once it definitely wasn't style over substance. We're often disappointed by cakes as they look delicious but don't deliver on taste. The children chose a tiered lemon cake and a caramel flapjack, both of which were delicious. The adults went for the Devon cream tea with Assam, which was beautifully presented - three scones each, two different jams, full bowl of luscious clotted cream. Tea was from a large silver teapot. Artfully mismatched china. Staff were professional, yet friendly. We loved the place.

Fantastic ambience! My family HAVE to go to Greys and given the limited opening hours, our holidays are planned around the same, as to when we visit Totnes.
The selection of fine teas is phenomenal as is the selection/collection of fine china. The food is lovely.

I had read reviews of Greys before, but this was my first chance to visit. We stopped for lunch around 12 noon and already the place was busy. By 1pm there were queues for tables and I can easily see why. If you like quaint English tearooms then this is the place for you. The staff are courteous and attentive, we did not have to wait for service, or try to get the waitresses attention. Every time we wanted something, the waitress spotted us and came right over. The varieties of tea on offer were wide, with a delicious range of savoury snacks and cakes on offer. All in all an enjoyable lunch and I look forward to returning.
