Room was perfectly comfortable however slightly tired ,with badly finished blinds and oddly for a pub no glass for your tooth brush . Tea and coffee where plentiful ,beds very comfortable and all very clean .
Room no 2 is very close to the main road and has no double glazing so people walking past sound like they are in the room with you .Also there where some quite alarming noises coming from the plumbing ( maybe a macerator ?) every half an hour or so ,making uninterrupted sleep pretty much impossible - I did wonder when I spotted that the room had been provided with ear plugs!
There is no provision for breakfast ,so pretty sad if you have an early start or have no time to go around the local cafes .
Staff where on the whole very nice ,however the lady I presume is the manageress ( and booked me in ) was unfriendly and made me feel that I was an unwanted interruption to her bookkeeping !
No parking adjacent to pub but a couple of spaces available in the Conservative club around the corner .- these are very tight spaces so if you have anything larger than a moderate size car you could be in troubleMore
