Despite a hiccough in trying to book online, we were given a table without any problem but I would always recommend making a booking as this place will always be busy despite being hidden away in the small streets set back behind the harbour.
The restaurant is like several rooms within a house - probably because it was - and adds to the homely feel of the place.
Starters were generous and tasty, mains were just outstanding and desserts too good to miss (even if the freebies with coffee would have done the dessert job effectively themselves).
My duck was the best I can remember, her dover sole with crab equally brilliant. Service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive.
Prices are reasonable - £95 including a bottle of wine - for a top restaurant and this meal was better than we've had at "posh" restaurants elsewhere. Not to be missed.
