Description: A little taste of heaven in a beautiful part of Devon! Angels is a perfect place for Devonshire Cream Tea looking onto the seafront in Babbacombe. Very popular with the locals and recommended to holiday makers.

Somewhere I usually go with family when I'm in Torbay. The interior is great fun with its angels theme though twee! Great cakes, sandwiches and light meals. High tea served on a cake stand is especially good fun. The restaurant caters for wheelchairs easily, though the front door looks narrow. The loos are a bit cramped though - not so good for the elderly. Staff are charming and it also sells a range of jams and marmalades - I usually buy a jar as a souvenir. Always packed so make a reservation.

Very traditional tea rooms on the downs at Babbacombe. If you are looking for a "authentic" cream tea served in bone china with leaf tea Angels is a must. May be an idea to book if you are here during the busy holiday period, even though there are tables outside, otherwise you should be able to get a table. Good choice of teas, warm scones with plenty of clotted cream and a choice of jams which was a nice touch. Pleasant service so overall a nice spot for afternoon tea.

Only twice have I been here, the first time was September 2012 and so I sat outside and everything was fairly enjoyable. The second time was not so great, we were shoved on the smallest table, ignored for ages while the waitress was rushing around banging into things, into people and dropping things. I wouldn't normally care or take any notice if something was dropped but it was every single time she came from the kitchen or till, she was causing chaos! I just felt in the way the whole time. It wouldn't stop me going back but it wouldn't be top of my list

A must visit when in the area, any time of year. We have always booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Sandwiches are amazing, recommend egg and Devonshire cheddar. Great atmosphere and such a wide menu for small tea shop. We'll be back again next year!

Fab little find that was recommended to me - views out over the sea whilst enjoying spectacular cream tea from quaint china! Worth a visit!
