We booked 6 nights in a seaview room at Headland View, having read the outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor, we wondered if it could possibly be this good, it was!
- Wonderful Room, Outstanding Location, great decor, spotlessly clean, extensive breakfast choice, perfectly cooked with daily specials.
We tried to think of any way it could be improved and failed abysmally, a perfect B&B run by perfect hosts.

What a find! My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Headland View and wish we could have stayed longer. It is perfectly situated with beautiful views and with beaches, shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Every need was catered for and attention to detail impressive. The rooms were immaculately clean and well decorated with a lovely terrace to enjoy the sea view. There is also a main lounge area on the ground floor where you can still enjoy the view when the weather is not so good. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented - my husband claims it was the best cooked breakfast he has eaten in any UK hotel or guest house! The breakfast specials were a great idea as a lighter option. In our view, Helen and Craig have created the perfect B & B and provide everything needed to make your stay comfortable. We are already planning our next visit.

When my wife and I decided to stay in Babbacombe for a week in July, the biggest problem was to choose a good place to stay. So many of the hotels and B & Bs had great views that the choice was difficult. We settled on Headland View and in February I rang to book our stay. Helen, who answered the phone, told me what a wonderful view we would have from our bedroom and she was absolutely right!

Our room overlooked Babbacombe Cliffs and had an uninterrupted view of Lyme Bay, as well as a grass area in front of Headland View where people strolled and walked their dogs. On a good day you can see Portland Bill. The room itself was recently decorated with a seaside theme and was very pretty.

When we arrived, Craig gave us a very warm welcome by giving us tea in the Lounge and explaining about Headland View and Babbacombe. He showed us to our room, which was very nice with a small balcony that we sat out on occasionally.

The breakfasts, cooked by Craig, were one of the highlights of our stay. As well as cereals, fresh fruit salad and full English breakfast, there was a 'Special' each day, e.g. smoked salmon & scrambled egg with muffins; pancake with fresh fruit & maple syrup. Helen was a very attentive host and this also helped to make breakfast such an enjoyable meal.

If we stay in Babbacombe in the future we will stay at Headland View again. We highly recommend it to anyone who is considering staying in Babbacombe.

Together with my sister and 85 year old Mum we recently enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Headland View. Helen and Craig were perfect hosts; helpful, kind, informative eg a booster heater magically appeared on cool nights for Mum - fresh milk replenished daily in the communal fridge - an extra chair turning up on the balcony so we could all sit together and go ooh aah at the views. We loved that HV has been sympathetically restored with a great mix of period features and fresh seaside inspired decor. It even inspired Mum to return home with new dolphin towels and a desire to 'seaside up' her own bathroom :) All was pristine and relaxing. Brekkies were outstanding with yummy specials on offer each morning. Beds super comfy. Fabulous views from the front bedrooms overlooking Lyme Bay. We can't recommend this understated gem of a guesthouse highly enough.

Room Tip: Front bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floor have balconies with stunning uninterrupted views of the Bay

This treasure of a B&B is the best find ever, it is exceptional every way. Clearly the lovely high-ceilinged house has been furnished and decorated with infinite love and care and this really shows, making it such a nice place to stay in. It is immaculately clean and what a pleasure to appreciate the beautiful decor - and even more to enjoy every last detail that the hosts, Craig and Helen have provided for their guests' comfort. Even the breakfast excels in perfection! This is a twenty out of ten place.

Room Tip: Front rooms have an exceptional view but the back room was so ice and quiet during the annual festiv...
