We stayed here using an exchange with RCI. We had a second floor, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment overlooking the sea. The view was lovely and you should definitely try to get the sea view (we were in House 1, apartment 8). The master bedroom was OK in size but the second bedroom was a little cramped e.g. cupboard door could not fully open as it hit the bed. The living room cum dinning room was a reasonable size and the kitchen was well-equipped. The lift is extremely small and not for claustrophobics. There was reasonably fast free Wifi in the apartment which was a bonus. Although there was a beach nearby, it was only a narrow strip of sand and was rocky (maybe it is better in the summer). Although it is said that you can walk to the town, it is a bit of a hike, so having a car is best. There are also buses if you don't mind the restriction by the schedule. You have to pay to use the gym in the hotel next door, but using the swimming pool is free.
This is a charming English-style condominium in the heart of Torquay, where there are plenty of things to see and do. The fixtures and decor are quaint and unique--if you prefer modernity, it may not satisfy you. The elevator is as tiny as can be--only two of us could fit on it at one time. We found easy-to-prepare food in the local grocery store and the kitchen appliances were functional. The bedrooms are small but normal by European standards, and our view was magnificent--nice foliage, a beach and distant rocks. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay.
