“Another fabulous stay”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

We spent 3 nights at the Bank Holiday weekend at Lincombe Hall after previously enjoying a previous stay at Easter weekend. The hotel has been transformed over the last few years and had a great atmosphere. The customer service is excellent and the staff friendly but professional and efficient. The food is excellent and as a vegetarian, I particularly like the extensive vegetarian choices. My husband usually opts for the excellent fish special of the day. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. We love the location of the hotel as we can walk to Meadfoot Beach or to Torquay Harbour easily. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked to return at the end of September for one night as we were leaving.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Lincombe Hall Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. The sun shone upon us throughout our stay as we relaxed in the hotel gardens and pool. We stayed in rooms 15 and 16 Gold, refurbished interconnecting rooms, the rooms were large and the king size beds were sooooo comfortable.Evening entertainment was provided every night with a good variety of acts. It's worth paying in advance for the bed, breakfast and evening meal package as the chef was more than happy to cater for any dietary needs. As previous reviews have stated all the staff from David the manager to the barstaff, restaurant and reception staff were brilliant and it is for that reason many return as we will do next year.

Room Tip: Rooms 15 and 16 overlooked the pool area and the sea

I have just returned from another brilliant stay at Lincombe hall. I had a three night last minute stay. The weather was amazing and I spent most of the three days on a sun lounger by the pool with a gin and tonic..!! The staff are amazing. Very attentive friendly and helpful. I try to visit Lincombe hall hotel at least twice a year. But this year I will have been three times. My sister and I always visit for three nights for our birthday and I usually have a solo visit in march. It is like a home from home. The rooms are brilliant and the food is what make is worth the 204 mile trip from Telford. We have been visiting Lincombe hall for nearly 14 years. I recommend it to anyone.!! Looking forward to my next stay in November. X x x

Room Tip: All the rooms are great but worth upgrading to a gold or superior for some extra space or a better v...

This was a great place to spend a few nights. It is far enough out of the town to be nice and peaceful but the hustle and bustle are an easy stroll down the hill. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is great if you are lucky enough to strike good weather. There were quite a lot of coach-party people staying as it was just before high season. They tended to eat early and be out on day trips so the hotel did not seem over busy. Overall it was fantastic.

Room Tip: The walk back up the hill from the town is fine if you want a bit of exercise. Try for one of their...

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights earlier in the summer. We found it a very pleasant well kept hotel. The room was comfortable enough but would have benefitted from a better quality carpet, blinds on the main window and flat surfaces in the bathroom to put the contents of a toilet bag.

The staff were extremely helpful throughout.

The highlight was the food, which for the price we paid was remarkable. All served in a lovely restaurant overlooking the garden areas. The lounge bar was also very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay but one small word of warning to those less mobile souls. The hotel is positioned on a hill above the town centre so the walk back is quite challenging. The steps up to the main entrance then leave you thankful the lounge is so comfortable. However if you can cope with this, it is a very good place to stay and the value is incredible.

Have just returned after a three night special deal. Lovely break with good food and very attentive staff. We are used to staying in large chain hotels , the staff made this a very pleasant stay.

Food was obviously prepared and cooked by people who knew what they were doing, for the budget it was excellent.

Facilities all good stand of cleanliness very good we'll done to all.

I have to agree with another review, the only fault I could find was the high price of the drinks, surely it would be better to reduce the cost and sell more

My wife and i spent five very enjoyable days here.Great location,a feeling you have made good choice as soon as you walk in and see the quality and finish of the decor.Friendly and efficient staff giving a very good service.Excellent food, good choice and very tasty.
My only quibble would be the bar prices which were a bit steep but i would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again
