Have just returned after a three night special deal. Lovely break with good food and very attentive staff. We are used to staying in large chain hotels , the staff made this a very pleasant stay.

Food was obviously prepared and cooked by people who knew what they were doing, for the budget it was excellent.

Facilities all good stand of cleanliness very good we'll done to all.

I have to agree with another review, the only fault I could find was the high price of the drinks, surely it would be better to reduce the cost and sell more

My wife and i spent five very enjoyable days here.Great location,a feeling you have made good choice as soon as you walk in and see the quality and finish of the decor.Friendly and efficient staff giving a very good service.Excellent food, good choice and very tasty.
My only quibble would be the bar prices which were a bit steep but i would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again
We have stayed at several hotels in Torquay and this is the best so far

Spent two nights here as part of a family holiday. The location is beautiful - we liked the fact that it is slightly away from the relative hustle bustle of the town centre (albeit up a big hill!). Our room was perhaps smaller than we would have liked for a family room, and it was also a little hot, but the decor was tasteful and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of cold cereals, fruit etc, alongside cooked items. It isn't necessarily the best place for young families - although we weren't made to feel unwelcome as the previous reviewer, we got the impression that the client base was much older and did not approve of having younger ones around. I would be more likely to stay again if it was just me and my husband.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Good location, food and atmosphere. Just a pity one staff member was abrupt with us, have given the hotel contructive feedback on this. But other than that I really enjoyed retuning back to Torquay and would recommend this hotel and come back again.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are still lovely and good value.

We chose this hotel by the reviews and so glad we did. On arrival, the hotel looked very modern, clean and lovely well kept surroundings. The lady on the front desk was very helpful and friendly (as were all the staff). She told us about the hotel and even showed us to our room, and advised if we werent happy, we could change...but we were very happy with the room. It was very clean, modern, spacious, lovely decorated and a big bed. The room even had a heater and fan if the room was either hot or cold.
Location wise, although on a steep hill, was a 5min walk to the harbour and into Torquay and couldnt have asked for better, near enough to everything, yet far away from the noise.
Although we didnt use the leisure facilities, they were very clean and was lovely just to be able to have the outdoor pool and jacuzzi which we saw people using the days we were there.
The staff were very knowledgeable about the local area and quick to recommend when we asked for various places to go and very welcomed.
The breakfast was a buffet, always hot and being replenished. There were also extras that were available which although were a minimal surplus charge, i felt added more variety if required.
There was entertainment every evening, which was slightly cheesy for my taste, but many seemed to enjoy.
A very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again and recommend.

We stayed here for 5nights and enjoyed it so much stayed another night. It has a great location despite its position on top of a hill, lovely grounds, decor was good, staff helpful and good amenities including a little cinema showing films every night, singers every night, as well as the pools and jacuzzi both inside and outside. There were a few minor issues butt these were dealt with or would be looked into. The overall impression was we enjoyed it so much we made a booking for the same week next year. Well done to all the staff...your manager would be proud of you all!!

We had our wedding reception at the Lincombe Hall Hotel in June 2011. Being a wedding and events organiser myself, you could say I was a 'bridezilla' in terms of my expectations and planning requirements. Brett and Jo were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they understood how important it was to me to get all the small details right for my big day.

The day was perfection, all the staff were wonderful, the food was great and everything ran to plan. All our family and friends had a wonderful time and still often talk about how great the day and venue was.

I can only apologise for the delay in writing this review, ( we had a baby 9 months after the wedding day!, life has been pretty hectic since)

I would highly recommend the hotel as a wedding destination to anyone, and it was only a matter of time before they won ' Hotel of the year'

Congratulations to Brett and Jo.

We look forwards to coming back soon
