Just stayed here for a short weekend break. Hotel charming & peaceful.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was excellent - 3 course meal at reasonable prices! The heated outdoor pool was heaven (but a bit small).
Within easy walking distance to the town but the hotel is up a short hill !!!!
We would highly recommend.

Just arrived home after 3 days at Lincombe Hall, excellent as it was on our April visit. The weather was on our side and we enjoyed the outdoor pool and gardens, the owners really do seem to have a very good setup and the staff and facilities to back it up.

Room Tip: We booked a "gold room" which was excellent but talking to other guests it would seem that...

Beautifully restored property a bit off but within convenient walking distance from the busy harbour area (if you don't mind walking up a hill) . Quiet garden, spacious rooms, friendly staff. Should you be under 50 or so, you might feel a bit out of place among the mostly elderly guests though. WiFi only works in the lounge area not in the rooms.

Room Tip: Take one of the Gold Rooms as they are more spacious.

We can only agree with previous reports made on this Hotel. We spent three nights here. We understood that the Hotel had been recently refurbished, and this was very apparent not only in appearance but also in the comfort of our room. The Staff were very friendly and we were made very welcome. Food was excellent and there was always a large choice of Starters and Main courses at dinner time. Breakfasts provided an ample choice for all appetites.
We cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough, suffice to say we would certainly visit again.

Room Tip: As far as I was aware all rooms were of a very high standard

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Lincombe Hall Hotel. The weather could have been better but the staff gave us a really warm welcome, our room was excellent and despite a wedding party being there which must bring additional pressures on the staff, we were well looked after and there was no noise to spoil our stay. The dining room and bar area have an air of decadence but retain a cosiness that helps to give a relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this to others, hopefully, we will have an opportunity for a return visit sometime.

Room Tip: There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts available so don't forget to pack...

This hotel has completely turned around from its previous owners who let it go. Lincombe Hall maintains its character and charm and has been refurbished to the highest standards while keeping its grand uniqueness . A few of the original staff remain which is a bonus as they are so polite and caring, the front of house men, Dave and Chris are excellent Dave is so funny whilst maintaining his professionalism and politeness the waiters/waitresses are all first class always smiling and helpful as are the reception staff. I must say it makes a pleasant change to stay in a hotel where staff care about their residents most have the attitude of you only staying for a couple of weeks so they don't care whether you return or not, but not at the lincombe. Even the owner Brett helps out, you see him everyday a really nice caring man who goes a long way to make sure your stay in his hotel is a good experience. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting very very clean and professional, the food is absolutely wonderful and flavoursome nothing is too much trouble if you require food not on the menu, although you wouldn't really need to ask for anything different as the al-la-carte menu is exceptional everything home made by the fantastic chef who has been there for many years I believe. The Buffett breakfast is spot on, nothing has been forgotten whether you prefer a light breakfast, fruit salad, croissants, porridge etc: or a fabulous full English using the finest products, the bacon sausage, tomatoes, eggs mushrooms are all fresh and very tasty. You need the walk into the town and harbour to burn off the calories you just can't resist!!!! Or there is a spa and swimming pool to keep you healthy if you prefer. In the evening there is different entertainment to listen to or you can relax in the comfortable lounge and enjoy a drink from the fully stocked bar. The hotel has seasonal offers making it a reasonable place to stay for the first class accommodation provided, you will definitely want to return to lincombe hall, the only problem being, we compare it to other places we stay in and they don't live up to the same standards usually charging more for less!!!! This is the best of British professionalism at its best what more can I say Brett and his staff have got it right other hotels could learn a lot from this experienced team, this is what you expect when going on holiday, it's not cheap these days staying in the UK saving hard earned cash only to be disappointed but that won't happen here, you must stay at the Lincombe Hall if you want the best hotel in Torquay, you've tried the rest now stay at the best.

Room Tip: Superior gold rooms or room 4 have 4 poster comfortable beds with spacious bathroom and bedroom.

We held our wedding reception at the lincombe hall hotel and we couldn't of chosen a nicer place. Every single member of staff were amazing, so polite, helpful and overall brilliant. The grounds that the hotel is situated in are fantastic, so close to the town but yet it doesn't feel like that. A lot of our guests were very pleased with the service and how the hotel runs. Our wedding breakfast food was outstanding lots of guests compilmenting the food. The rooms that all the guests were in were great, spacious, light and very comfortable beds. Everybody had something positive to say about the hotel. The owners are fab to helping so much and making sure our experience here was the best. Which it was. Many many many thanks to all the staff you made our day so easy and we appreciate everything that you done.

Room Tip: Gold rooms are amazing and so is the bridal suite :)
