We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were excellent, as was the food and the service. We had a great stay.

We would fully recommend Aveland House. The initial welcome was really friendly and this continued throughout our stay. The accommodation was immaculate and as a Coeliac I was delighted to be able to enjoy gluten free meals knowing that Jacqui fully understood what was required. Gluten free cereals were kept on a separate table and Jacqui produced some lovely puddings. Only one choice of evening meal could have been a problem but Jacqui discussed this with us each morning and was open to making variations, particularly in relation to my husband's diabetic diet.
As well as many interesting places to visit, we enjoyed some superb coast path walks, often using the good bus service in conjunction with them. We even discovered that the National Trust property at Coleton Fishcare has gluten free quiches.

We have just returned from a midweek break at this delightful hotel. It is situated in a quiet area but only a short walk to the Babbacome attractions. Jaquie and David are really friendly and did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The room we were given was perfect for our needs and spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. On a personal note we missed a tv in our room for the morning news etc but in saying that there are two lounges on the ground floor, both with TVs and these were available for us throughout our stay at anytime. There is a lovely bar in the hotel and the breakfast was cooked perfectly.
We would certainly return again and have great pleasure in recommending this lovely hotel.

We stayed at the Aveland house over the bank holiday. We arrived after an eight hour journey to a warm welcome from Jaqui and a welcome cup of tea. Room was very clean but a little on the small side. Very tasty breakfast with 1st class service. On arriving back home, i realised i'd left some items of clothing in the wardrobe. Jaqui kindly posted them to my home the next day.Would stay there again.

We discovered Aveland hotel in the Tourist guide and what a discovery it turned out to be. We were greeted by 2 very friendly people and they were always there for us during our stay doing all they could to make our stay better. The hotel is in a quiet part of Babbacombe but within easy reach of the sea front and shops and there is a regular bus service into Torquay (where free parking is very nearly impossible) and use of the bus pass was a great advantage. The hotel was very clean, food very good and 2 very comfortable lounges for the evenings. It is near to the football ground which is useful for visiting supporters. The fact that there was no TV in the room did not bother us and this is an idea that could be used by other hotels to avoid guests being disturbed by unwelcome noise. We will be back, why look for somewhere else when all you need is present in this hotel.

We were somewhat disappointed that this B and B was not on the sea front but this did not matter as we received such a warm welcome. Our bedroom was fairly small but very clean and well-equipped with a good shower cubicle. There was no TV in the room but there were two lounges for our use and also a small bar.Breakfast was very good with an enormous choice of local preserves.
