Looked good from outside, inside we were taken to a room at the back of the hotel, it was supposed to be a double ensuite room, but was two singles pushed together. The wall paper was coming off the walls in the bedroom and bathroom, loose tea bags in an old dirty metal tin, view of a wall, very little day light, shower had been replaced but tiles never made good, cobwebs in room and hall ways. We were offered another room which was a little better, but we had a refund and found another better hotel. Were told this room was for late bookings, be aware of this.

As regular visitors, we find the hotel worthy of a higher star rating, especially in view of the excellent food - the 5 course evening dinner is fantastic! Coffee is served to you in the lounge, where you can relax and enjoy a chat with fellow guests, or sit back and watch the weekend entertainment. It enjoys an excellent position, overlooking the sea, and the walk to Torquay harbour over the cliffs is most exhilerating! The weekend breaks are very good value and everything about the hotel far surpasses the bigger local hotels. We will be regular visitors for years to come!
