I have been going back to the Model Village for nearly 35 years and never tire of seeing the wonderful displays. There is so much to see and even our visit on Sunday in the rain was worth it

As I live in Torquay I have been to the model village quite a few times. The most recent being Halloween when the place is done up really spooky and there is a ghost walk in the evening. It's well worth a visit at any time of year and the entrance fee lets you go back a second time so you can go during the day and later when the place is all lit up.

The quality of the models in the village is fantastic - at times we could have been Gulliver visiting Lilliput, as everything is so realistic. We enjoyed the variety of lifelike models, but also the subtle (and not so subtle) humour with the names and little details. Good fun for all the family.

Rip off entrance fees, rip off parking charges and extra charge for the cinema. Only took us about 30 minutes to get around. Waste of time and money.

Dear Scotty89w
I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations but I guess we aren't going to be everybody's cup of tea. A model village is what it is. We at Babbacombe, however, are rightly proud to operate one of the finest in the country.
As the vast majority of reviewers here are far more complimentary in their reviews this must just be a case of Model villages not being your thing.
It is possible to walk around in 30 minutes if you don't stop and take in any of the detail, sense of humour and appreciate the hundreds of hours of work that go into creating the displays. Most of our visitors are with us for a couple of hours at least. It is simply a case of different levels of appreciation and understanding and you do need to take your time to fully appreciate the visit.
With regards to the 4D theatre it is not suitable for everyone, especially those who are infirm or have certain medical conditions. This is why we offer it as an optional extra.
The car park is owned and operated by the local authority and serves the local area generally. We have no control over the charges and suggest you might like to contact them direct.
