We stayed 3 nights and had an absolutely fantastic time. Hotel only 10 minute walk from beach, shops and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and the breakfast was first class. Would definitely recommend this if you are thinking of visiting this area and would definitely go back. Thanks for a great few days x

Stayed here for just the one night. As we arrived by train early, we were allowed to drop our bags off in our room straight away, despite being way before the allowed time. This was very convenient. We never had car, so didn't require the car park to be moved into sight.
The room was lovely, and good value. The dimmer switch was easily recognisable, very important! Also liked the amount of extension leads. So many B & Bs and hotels lack electric sockets to hand. The one below the TV was very handy for my phone charger. Usually its a case of unplugging kettle and moving drawers in most places!
The hotel was very conveiniently located. We could walk easily to the sea front, and stagger back in no time from the bars!
Breakfast was perfect. Despite huge hangovers, with special planning, we hit the 45 min window for breakfast no trouble. I despise tomatoes, so never had them. What I did have was delicious and never gave a single thought to whether any of it was 'tinned' I am guessing the beans were, but are prepared to let that go.. Were more concerned about enjoying ourselves rather than guessing the origins.
We also got to see the massive superior room. Maybe next time! Mandy was very welcoming, and we will certainly return to this Hotel. She even let us leave our bags again after checking out, so we could get rid of our hangovers in the pub before getting the train home!
If you are looking for an affordable well located Hotel, this is perfect. If you take your job with you, cannot keep to large timescales, drive an artic, have a fear of tinned food, or cannot wash in bathrooms without studio lighting, then best avoided.

Room Tip: Superior room with dimmer switch

We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room had everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable, hairdryer, shower gel, liquid soap, tissues, tea/coffee making facilities, television. The room and ensuite were perfectly adequate and we cannot find anything to fault on our stay. The breakfast choice was the best we have ever had, especially the yogurt. We also enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep. If you are thinking of staying in Torquay do consider staying here. The location is perfect, so do make this guest house your first choice of accommodation.

The owner Mandy was fantastic very welcoming and helpful. This was my first trip alone and instantly felt comfortable when I arrived and was greated so well. The breakfast was lovely and served quickly. The rooms are very clean light and airy. The bed was so comfortable. I would definately recommend this place to friends and family. When I return to Torquay I will definately be booking here again.

Room Tip: I had room 3 on the ground floor, nice and quiet. Lovely light room and the bed was so comfortable x

Upon our arrival we were met by Mandi who was absolutely amazing. Friendly, polite, happy, caring and extremely professional. We were shown to our rooms one being used one for single occupancy and one for double, both absolutely spotless, would get a suite if available as there is much more room and only very minimal extra cost but extremely luxurious. Breakfast was amazing absolutely perfect. I made the mistake of googling the distance to the beach on google maps and it says 25 minute walk, we timed the walk and can assure you that it took 7 minutes. Lovely quiet location but short walk to many other restaurants and shops. Please don't take any notice of the couple of negative comments left on trip advisor I feel you will be missing an amazingly inexpensive, luxurious break. Thank you to Mandi and Berry for having such wonderful friendly, nothing too much attitudes. Nothing was too much trouble. xxxx

Room Tip: ground floor suite - fantastic

The room was spotless and while the bathroom wasn't particularly large it was fine for my needs. The hostess was very friendly and offered sensible and considered suggestions on where to eat in the evenings and things to do both near and further afield. Breakfast was good - as much as I wanted and served quickly and cheerfully by the host. Having read the reviews before I booked I felt that from my experience of the stay it was a very good, comfortable B&B which I would recommend to others. It's a short walk from the front and the town centre and very reasonably priced - I'd stay again.

lovely tidy and clean bedroom, tasty breakfast and plenty of it and a fab hostess :-) a nice location within walking distance to the sea front and town I would recommend people to stay here..just a little tight on the car park at the back but manageable but at least it is off road .
