I've been in Torquay a couple years ago, I found it a delightful resort, rich of attractions both for the sightseer and the vacationer tourist. The Harbour Aerea offers a widespread range of restaurants and/or fast food diners, as well as a variegate selection of stores, Not far from the harbour you'll find the Pavillon, the Marina and other handy facilities.
Belgrave Road is located just a few steps from the harbour (at least i found the distance between the accomodation and the town's centre and harbour a reasonable one). The Guest House staff is fair and professional, the service was brilliant and the food was tasty with a selection suited to meet any need.

From arriving to leaving the stay was a very pleasant and enjoyable one. The room was very nice. The breakfast was tasty and copius! Located close to the beach and the centre so it's ideally situated. They also had free wifi which worked fine and was quick. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I highly recommend to others.

Starting with the warm welcome on our arrival we were made to feel very much at home throughout our stay.

We stayed in a double room with en-suite. Both the room and the en-suite were nicely furnished and clean and there was a very informative folder awaiting us which contained some useful information about the guest house and local amenities.

The location is very good. It was very easy to find (no driving around for hours trying to locate it) and is just a few minutes walk to the beach, the quay or the shops - infact perfect for our particular visit.

The choice, quantity and quality of the breakfast was excellent and any little foibles were quickly catered for without fuss or complaint.

Overall a very good experience and one which we would definitely repeat.

Doogals is a very friendly place to stay. The accommodation was very clean and tidy located in a quite area but only a moments walk from the centre of Torquay and the beach!! Good size rooms - especially the family rooms!!! Steve and Maria were always available to offer help and service. Good breakfast too!!! Will definitely return.

We arrived late afternoon intending to stay just for the night and ended up staying there for three nights. Owners Maria and Steve were very friendly and welcoming and also gave us some good advice on where to go in Torquay. Recommended an excellent Thai restaurant - our favourite - and they were very knowledegable about shows on at the theatres. The first morning we were a little late for breakfast but that was no problem for Maria and on our last morning we needed to be away early so requested and received an early morning call but didn't really expect breakfast as we were before the time but, no, Maria served up breakfast for us along with our requested Daily Telegraph. Now that's what I call service! If we're ever back in this neck of the woods we will be booking in again.

When I arrived at doogals I was greeted with a big smile from Maria. We checked in and then I was given directions to the carpark which was situated within a minutes walk from the guesthouse. Steve offered to carry some of the bags for me and the little ones.
The atomosphere is the guesthouse is cozy.
I loved our room, it was spacisious with enough room for me and the children to get ready for a meal out at the local pub which was just across the road.
I have stayed at others along the same strip of Guesthouse's but this was by far the most welcoming.
The whole family had a great trip and we will definatly be re-visiting doogals guesthouse!
