We stayed for 9 nights and everything about the accommodation was excellent. You couldn't have better owners than Anita and Adam. Nothing was too much trouble to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. We holiday in this part of Devon every year as I have relations here and there is no doubt that we will use this accommodation again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with our choice. Adam, the owner, greeted us and showed us round on arrival. We had booked too late to get a room with a seaview (despite booking about 2 months in advance!) so chose a standard double room. It was fairly small but more than adequate for what we wanted - we weren't planning to spend much time in it! The bed was comfortable, the shower was good and the towels huge and fluffy although the lighting was a bit dim.
The breakfasts were excellent - a very wide choice of cereals including 3 types of Dorset Cereals muesli, fresh fruit, yogurts etc, and the cooked breakfast also had a large number of components! All the staff were really lovely and helpful. The dining room is light and airy with a view of the pool.
We spent part of one evening in the bar chatting to Adam who is very engaging and interesting - the conversation ranged far and wide!
Unfortunately we didn't get to use the swimming pool as the weather had taken a turn for the worse! It's a 5-10 minute (downhill) walk to the seafront and town centre so very convenient.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back will be quieter - we were occasionally disturbed by revellers in the street ou...

Thanks for your kind review.

It's very rare for people to be disturbed by noise at the front. We're away from the nightlife and the coach hotels up the road don't tend to attract night clubbers!

See you again I hope - maybe next time you'll get to use the pool!

If you are looking for excellent value accommodation, close to town - then look no further than the homely Cimon. You won’t find blue rinse, coach parties here!
Adam and his staff, bend over backwards to provide the guests with a great service. Vegetarians are catered for as well. There is a definite family feel to the place.
The cosy downstairs bar is a great place to end your evening and it has a good range of wines - no doubt scrutinised by Adam! And if the weather had been awful, which thankfully it wasn't - it was useful to know there was plenty to do with the pool table and range of games and books.
So if you succumb to the charms of Torquay, I am sure you will be back time and time again. Well done, Adam and Anita – your hard work is appreciated!

Thanks for the lovely review! I can confirm that we tested every wine before making up the wine list - it was a tough job having to sample so many bottles to come up with our list... I'm glad it was appreciated! See you again I hope - please book direct in future!

It was my first weekend getaway and I am so glad we choose this place. We checked-in late but we are greeted and accomodated by no less than the friendly Mr Adam. Although it was a short stay, we are very comfortable. Thanks to Mr Adam who provide all the information we need to explore the place. Everything went perfectly smooth. I highly recommended this place especially to my friends planning to visit Torquay.

welcoming, clean and good comfortable bed. I had a room with a sea view which was bright and quiet. the breakfasts and bar meals were very good [and large]. the pool was clean and warm.
the en-suite is small but adequate so long as you are not too large!
Adam and Anita are excellent hosts.
