Revisited Cockington after 30 + years - just as I remembered, a real joy to walk through the parkland and visit the old forge and glass maker.
Coffee and homemade cakes served in the manor house was a real treat.
I will make sure to revisit a lot sooner.

Plenty of car parks dotted around, very quaint little Village with Craft shops, with some of them showing how they make their goods, particularly the glass blowing.

Good Cafe and lovely pib.

Excellent area for Woodland/Countryside walks. Highly recommended

Last time I went there it looked a lovely picture postcard place. Lots of things to do people took lots of pride in their buildings. I'm sorry to say it look like a disused filmset now. I was there for about an hour that was long enough for me. They have built a new craft centre. A nice church and some nice grounds but that's about it. and a nice pub restaurant. anyone who's looking for the old fashion Cockington forge Village.and all the toilets are locked up, not very nice on a cold day, You will be disappointed I wish I never went. Another tourist place messed up.

This is a delightful village with thatched cottages, quaint shops and cafes and the Manor House with Craft shops, set in a beautiful woodland park, complete with an old church. Not to be missed is a visit to "The Drum", a public house designed by Lutyens.
